Once again, unbeatable, its all there (again) Northern, Crossover, Sweet Soul, Deep Soul, the expensive, the not so expensive, thinking mans soul and all of the highest order, usually pick a record of the day but can't this time, far to many contenders. Have told this story before on SS, its still so vivid and tells you just how good the record is, me and my mate Gaz Simon were in Canada at Martin Koppel's in 1989, we went to an industrial estate in Toronto where Martin had a unit that was wall to wall, floor to roof 7 inch vinyl, 4 coloured guys had come up from New York to buy Soul records and Martin was playing them a pile he thought they might be interested in on a small deck on the counter, me and Gaz were buried in dust and vinyl, then we heard the immortal intro to Open the door, after about a minute the guys were whooping and high 5ing and man hugging, I will take that memory with me until I die, its still so vivid Kev
