  12. Better still, back your own ears and don't chase the same records as every bugger else Can I get an Amen, nail on head Phil, bottomless pit Kev
  13. Can never understand why George Wilson "Here stands the man" and David Ruffin "I wanna be with you" are still there, two AWESOME records at great prices, somebody buy them !!! Kev
  14. lot of connotations been mentioned previously in this thread, theres records that people don't want to sell, they are keepers, hence they hardly ever come up for sale, then supply and demand becomes the issue, if you want the record bad enough then you have to resort to what you need to do, you have to make an attractive offer, no good saying, "but its only a £40 record" I ain't paying £75, well say goodbye to the record, you ain't going to own it, example I gave earlier, Brothers of Soul "Can't get you off my mind" awesome in my opinion, and a lot of other peoples on Boo or Criss Cross, hardly ever comes up, "I'D be grateful" theres one for sale every week, yet people pay £125-£150 for it, btw, not saying "Can't get you off my mind" is a £40 record, just using figures to get my point over, I think CGYOMM is the rarer record Kev
  15. Hi Chalky..theres so many unknown gems in the hands of these collectors who still do not do the internet thing and expose all their heat! Took that from well known collector in Northern California, these guys play their cards very close their chests Kev
  16. is it not subjective when quoting how many copies are out there ? Kev
  17. Issue probably about right Dave and worth a few bob of anyone's money, the flip is fantastic which you don't get with the demo Kev
  18. Issue or demo ?
  19. Finally got round to listening to this, worth the wait, its a masterpiece, great to see young guys like Liam with awesome taste in the REAL DEAL side of Soul, great stuff Liam, thanks for posting Kev
  20. Massive point here Dave though is if you can get the issue or the demo, "Love affair" is great and as you well know occupies both sides of the demo, the issue however, for my money has the best thing he ever did on the flip "I never meant to love her" and for me is worth the £50 alone, maybe a thing on supply and demand on this one Dave, the issue is tucked away in peoples collections who don't want to part, hence the demo showing up far more frequently making the issue even more desireable Kev
  21. Brothers of Soul-I'd be grateful-Boo particularly the orange issue is up for sale every week fetching £125+, I think the "Can't get you off my mind" by them on Boo and particularly Criss-Cross is a harder record and every bit as good, hardly ever comes up but doesn't command the same price for some reason Kev
  22. Soulful Twins-Can't let you go-Sable, on the coat tails of you all know what I reckon, still a good record though Kev
  23. Very rarely comes up these days, £100 I would say, flip is also desireable to Sweet Soul collectors hence collected on 2 fronts, fantastic 2 sider btw Kev
