  20. Apologies Ken, it's just that I have to use the independent links about a zillion times a day for numerous reasons - quality being the main one and ease of communicating to other places another one. Fact is that I've never managed to get my head around uploading to Refosoul and almost 100% of the files I receive are through independent links anyway. Anyway, Cunnie's just rectified it further in the thread so all OK now. Thanks Cunnie! Best, Ian D
  21. Could be a good thread Steve, i.e. 'What Records Did John Anderson NOT Find Between 1970-1980'? The No.1 source for rare soul in the 70's for sure. Not just the Northern scene either. Virtually every serious collector of various Soul genres in the world has gone through John at one time or another, if you 'scuse the expression........... Oh, merry Xmas Steve. A real twat that I missed you guys yesterday @ The Hobgoblin - I had a radio show and a Mother-In-Law to deal with but catch yer soon no doubt..... Merry Xmas! Ian D
  22. I think I found him through Blues & Soul originally when he was up in Scotland first time around - he used to run a box ad in the classifieds and was one of the only people dealing the bulk lots of U.S. imports back then. I presumed he started off as a soul fan who combined business with pleasure but I'm sure plenty of people on here know more about his origins, influences etc.......... Ian D
  23. Might do but debatable now I've listened to it again LOL! Pretty funny though and a GREAT plug plus I'll apologise on my bended knees to our favorite Los Angeles Soul Goddess......we're not worthy, we're not worthy etc, etc Actually, this sounds like fun. Ty Karim @ the 100 Club on 23rd December. Does it get any better? It must be Xmas or something................? Ian D
  24. LOL, that sounds like fun actually Ady. I also covered this subject on the radio show yesterday (about half way through via the link) just after I played "Lightin' Up"........... 2nd Hour The Lovelites - Get It Off My Conscience The Continental Four - What You Gave Up The Funk Brothers - Ain't No Mountain High Enough Inst (Alternative Take) Ty Karim - Lightin' Up The Fifth Dimension - What Does It Take Garland Green - Girl I Love You The Salsoul Orchestra feat Denise Montana - Merry Christmas All Felice Taylor - It May Be Winter Outside 7 Samurai - Marvin Sam Bostic - This Is For You Faze Action - Broad Souls The Neville Brothers - One More Day Dooley Silverspoon & Jeannie Burton - Am I Losing You https://www.sixmillionsteps.com/6MS-2008-12-21-Starpoint.mp3 I'll try and drag my bodyguard Mike Ritson down as well to keep an eye on Winston! Ian D
  25. Mmmm. Chafing of the fingers and repetitive strain injury as a result of consistant re-dialing......... It's just gets better and better........... Ian D
