would like to agree with daryl...glos was a top nite, didnt see the trouble but did hear there had been a bit...please dont let it keep you away from a great niter.. weve still got the best behaved music scene in the uk despite the odd drunken scuffle... the answer?..dont know to be honest...memberships keep twats away maybe but i have seen soulies fighting so might help but wont keep it away completely so far not had any trouble in 4 1/2 years at gogo children and we get allsorts in soulies, mods, skins, rockabillys, students and people who know f all about soul...less of these at out new venue as we are tucked out the way a bit... all end up gettin off on the buzz and having a good time...god knows what our secret is just hope it continues because along with drinks on the dancefloor and playing boots this a bad rep to get...hope i havnt talked anything up!! dean

i thought it was ok...yes most of the soul references were from the scene a few years later but really what did we expect?...it may have got some people of their sofa and searching the web for their nearest night dean

thing is people want the big classics but cant afford the real ones...right or wrong thats how it is...ive just put 20 odd records on ebay half of them are old look a like boots and reissues of classics bought years ago before i was OVO,half are decent cheap originals..ive just had a look and ive got 2 watches on the originals and 22 on the boots! dean

yeah all about london and manchester...when i moved to bristol in mid 90s a lot of people i knew here were doing the techno/hard house raves and clubs and it was mental....wednesday through to sunday every friday and saturday had a choice of 3 or 4 venues with top djs...full pubs with djs...onto club..onto...free parties all over in bristol warehouses or somerset fields and barns!...under the severn bridge...and then back to the pub and do it all again....no mention of roni size etc either...very early jungle /drum and bass when he was leviticus ..straight outa bristol!

only saw the last half hour or so enjoyable but predictable really especially if they only made a little mention of northern earlier...well i suppose MDMA did change the world for a bit as far as football violence goes anyway....i was still doing the scooter rallies in the late 80s when it all started but a lot of mates were doing the football and liked a fight and can still remember hearing about some of them apparently dancing with no shirts on instead of kicking off and searching for the raves at away games....shocked as id never seen some of em dance even when drunk!...now theres a lot more cheap coke and booze and what do ya know footy violence on the increase...even if its not reported so much agree the 'live' djing with no crowd...WTF?...turned over pretty quick
-
can you explain why reminissing means you have your head up your arse?..as for anyone can dj..if thats the case how come weve all heard people put records on at the wrong speed...not cue up records properly (weve all done this ocassionally but i can think of a few who do it often)...play a set that sounds like a cd on random play...play a set that is completely wrong for the crowd/club that no one enjoys.....you are entitled to your opinion ..or are you just trying to get a reaction...and although there are enuff djs why not give it a go dean
