    Hi Harry, i love Scarborough. A few of us went there for Julie,s 40th about 5/6 years ago. It was gonna be a non-soul weekend, but we ended up at a soul-do on the Sat night Dave.

The reason i,m asking i went to a family do (wife side) in Bradford about 10 years ago and a girl (Maureen) came up to me and asked if i went to the Mecca, i told her yes and said she went and she mensioned you.     Yes the mid 50,s a great time to be born. As well as the music don,t forget watching England winning the World Cup. Can,t see that happening again in my lifetime

    Yes it was on Sunday nights, a few of us from around our way used to go. We always had to leave early to get last train to Blackburn.

    Ladies Choice, Music Maker and Shake "n" Bump I remember Ian on the mike telling everbody that these are not funk records they are Northern. Alot of people at the time didn,t agree, but i liked them. I didn,t like the Rimshots "Do what you feel" or Andre Maurice "You,re the cream of the chop" I still don,t like Andre Maurice but the Rimshots grew on me over the years.

    Had a WD back in the 70,s with a red sticker from the ALLSTATE RECORD DISTRIBUTING CO. Chicago on it. Someone must have it now.

    Yes Ian, as i said in a earlier post the last time you were on the decks at Wigan Nov 73. I remember because it was my old mate Dave Ellson 1st night at the Casino. He did a tape on the night, i don,t know if he has still got it? Dave.

    Yes the Mecca in the 70,s great times. I could not go to the 98 reunion, in was i Preston Royal at the time recovering from a Brian Tumur Op.
