  1. It was 1973 when first i it played, but still lots of stompers around at the time. The first time i heard it at the Highroom Room i loved it, and still is my no.1 all time fav.
  2. More chiefs than indians comes to mind
  3. I think here in the UK, we take it for granted that everbody,s heard it, specily when it been around for over 30 years. It must be great hearing this and other stuff like it for the 1st time. It is one of I L,s best that for sure.
  4. Are you the same Ged from Blackpool who was a mate of Gary Farley?
  5. It was more likely to have been Rod.
  6. The odd time the bouncers turned us away, we went to a club in Cleveleys (can,t recall its name) that played Northern. A young Pete Haigh used to go.
  7. I didn,t know it had been booted on the east coast design.
  8. Yes it was special, we were young and it was a exciting time. I wish i could put in words the feeling of walking down the corridor (at the top of the stairs) to the Highroom Room. Hearing new records week in week out, it was magic.
  9. Hi Ian, Douglas came up to the last Prestwich(he lives in Brigton now), and he was telling me he has just got in torch with Ocky again after about 20 years. Caesar was at Douglas,s 50th in Brighton, but i didn,t see him(something to do the state i was in) Dave
  10. Jayne, Thanks for the pm, don,t know how to pm back (abit PC thick) We both hope he,s up and about soon. Dave&Lou. x
  11. H Jayne, how is Sean?
  12. Hi Gavin, have a good en again, we,re not going this year. Hope the weather is like sunday was last year and not like the friday.
  13. Neil was going out with a girl from Hull called Myiea (spelling could be wrong)
  14. So have i somewhere, reminds me of the all-dayers of the time. 77 We did our own version in Paris in John,s car, he was driving while 3 or us mooning out of car window
  15. Hi Jayne, how is the lad? I didn,t know Sean got slated when he first got started. I was shocked when you give us the invite for his 18th three years ago, i knew he was young but not that young. To me and Lou Sean is just Sean. x
  16. Lets not forget "Let me be your full time groover" L. J. & B. B.
  17. We are all anoraks, otherwise we would not be on here
  18. Hi Barry, i really enjoyed the last Prestwich, and it was good to see a few of the old faces there. Stoke was ok but to quote the Kent LP 76 "DANCE FLOOR DISASTER" The fact is too many people have stopped going out, and there wasn,t enough to go around in the first place. No Modern room at Bury Ann. in Oct! kinda says it all. It,s not just me lots of people i talk to have lost that i,ll got to be there feeling. (the looking forward/can,t wait till weekend feeling) E.G. Going back to the Gala Gram Weekenders our group used to have three, sometimes four caravans now when we go out, mostly there,s just me and Lou in the car. Dave.
  19. Well know in the north-west as well. £3/4 was the going rate for the Gamma copy at the time, £1/2 for a Revue copy.
  20. Has L J Johnson,s 24 hrs a day ever been on a cd? My 12 from the Angels days is f**ked.
