  1. I can't remember if the one I had was clean or not, sold it in 1980. It was not one of my fav's back than, but someone played it at the Burnley All- Nighter the other week and it sounded great.
  2. Cheers for that Malc, like I said only went over to the WG once at the time of the nighters. Went to a good few of the dayers there in more recent times. Dave.
  3. Hi Malc, was the Winter Gardens open all the time when the Pier was on? The reason I ask I only went to Cleethorps a few times, and only once did we walk from the pier to the gardens and back. Marie Nolan used to run coaches from Accrington to Cleethorps, that's we got there back than.
  4. Funny where you lived back than=the cost you had to pay. I sold all three in 79 J. Hampton and A. Perry £80 each, but only got £15 for the Tomangoes.
  5. I think if Gary sold it in the 90s, 95% chance he sold it to Richard. Are you still in touch with Gary? not seen him for about 5 or 6 years.
  6. Cause I am from the North!
  7. Listening now, and Richard just played Bobby Womack, a little tear in the eye from me. Good Luck to R.S. in the future. Dave.
  8. I don't recall ever meeting Chris, but Hot Buttered Soul was a must read back than. One more of our own was passed away, sad news. R.I.P. Chris Savory.
  9. Happy Birthday 100 Club. We can't be there tonight, but everbody enjoy. Our night to remember there would be Maxine Brown, it was on a Thursday night I think. All the Best Dave & Lou.
  10. The 1st time I paid nearly a week wages for a record, was for The Embers "Watch Out Girl" off Neil Rushton £30, at the back end of 1975. My wage at the time was £35 before tax.
  11. Yes Phil, it is Sue & Les from Chester.
  12. Hi Dave, we where at the Barn 3 weeks ago 6.45am and Eddie slipped it in his set. I looked at Lou and she looked at me when Linda's voice kicked in pure joy. Dave.
  13. Andy, Mecca, as you said, fantastic magic times. Dave.
  14. Again it is where you live, Capital copies fairly common anywhere between £5-£8 back than. I didn't even know of it being on BR till late 80s, about 7/8 years after I had sold my collection. Dave.
  15. Pete had his own way of dancing to this track, if you had seen it you would not forget. I did wear drainpipes and mohair jumpers but not the plastic sandals. After reading this I think I am glad I did not go to Peterborough. We were spoilt in the north-west in the 70s we had do's on every day of the week and did not have far to travel. Before I went to a All-Dayer in Birmingham in 1980, I had never been past Stoke southbound to a soul do.
  16. Sorry I was pissed last night, and anybody who knows me will tell you that it is rarer than Lester Tipton.
  17. I've got to amit I hated it back than, but watching Pete Haigh dance to it was quite good. I remember going to a do in Blackburn (Fernhurst) mid 80s and it was played, and guss what I liked it. (and still do)
  18. Well Rod, it is fucky, but not my cup of tea. I can't think for the life of me which is my fuck fav. Thinking is hard when you are on your 4th bottle of wine. i am pissed, you can count on your fingers how many times I have been pissed since I was 40 (and I'm 54 this year.) Yours Dave.
  19. Sorry I can't help you.
  20. All the best from me as well. Dave

  22. Hi Alison, send that ever you have got to ours. Dave & Lou. x
  23. Mark, why are you pissed off, ? 4 WINS IN 4, TOP OF LEAGUE! Dave.
  24. It might well have been played at the Mecca, as Ian says, but I don't remember it from there. I must have heard it somewhere to buy it back than. P.S. it took me about about 10mins to do this post. it must be the wine.
  25. We agree on something at last.
