    Last week we stayed in the Swallow Hotal in Preston. We where there for the Mecca Reunion, and our room and the room next door both had iron marks in carpet. Thing was they where both in the place as well.

    Just as good Dickie was following me as a guest and Liverpool had just hammered Spurs.. My last record was Sam Williams, I called it Ray Clemence "Goals slipped thou' my fingers" I think it might have Bank Hall, it was somewhere in Burnley.

    While looking though records at Blackburn Record Exchange in 1972. Anyway I had pulled out 12 records but only had £1 to spend and 1 of the records I put back was a UK copy of P.P. Arnold. I can't remember what I came home with but left "Soon everthing is gonna be alright" because I liked the others better at the time. Also can't remember what the other record was that I left.

    Not buying "Lady in Green" in 1978, did not like it at the time. BTW I sold "Charade" for 50p to Ian Gillabrand in 1980.

    I was talking to Louis at the Mecca Reunion on Sat., and funnily enough she still her membership card.

    Back in the day we went with "California Dreaming" by Wes Montgomery on Verve. A nice inst to finish with. and because the Mecca went with the above.

    Hi Tony, we have been to watch in Lancaster tonight, went with a open mind. And guess what it was for better than I thouught it was gonna be, it was a very funny brit rom-com set in the 70s. So we also gonna give it 7/10. went to do the do at the park after all and all it was a very enjoyable night. Oh I forgot to mension Lou was driving and I got pissed. lol Dave & Lou. P.S. it was a sell out.

    Yes Dave, also in there is my old Mel Britt demo! Back to the Willie Hutch issue a lad had one for sale at Prestwich a few years back. I told Dave Greet at the Orwell about it 2 or 3 weeks later and he asked me to get it for him. (if it was still there) When I saw the lad again it had gone. Dave.

    I had a "Time Will Pass You By" on a blue issue. Sold it to Browny late 80s or early 90s.

    Only had one pair of Skinners (Winter 71/72). Was the 1st in local youth club to get a pair, and when one of the other lads got a pair I bleached mine. :thumbsup:

    To be honest I did not know Polyvelds where shoes till last year, when there where a tread on here about fashion.
