  10. Talking of bleached or washed out records etc, There was a Earl Wright on Capitol doing the rounds in salebox late 70s. Anyway the "Thumb A Ride" side was white but the black writing had not faded, the other side was quite normal colouring. It was been talked about before on here, that a certain person from York getting very excited when he saw it.
  11. Paul, You could be right about the Players being a issue, but when I saw the scan that Andy Rex but up, my 1st thoughts where that's what we all had back in the day. Martyn, No idea what this goes for now, but it was about £2 at the time. P. S. I have checked the scan again and it is the same as my old copy. Reguards Dave.
  12. My fave of he's is "Ella Weez" from "The Man" album, prob because it was the 1st track I heard by him. at the Mecca all those years ago.
  13. I would hate to think that anybody on here, doesn't know it? lol. Class tune, overplayed but I still love it.
  14. I think there where quite a few of us that want to the Mecca at the this was played, that had The Players (Cameo) "Find My Way" demo. I never knew that people thought it was a urban myth.
  15. It as never come to this, that Tobi Legend is now for offers only? (unless it's a blue issue copy).
  16. IMHO The best record ever made!!!
  17. No issue copies are harder, when I was selling records every week back in the 70s. I only had one issue go though my hands, but maybe 20 demos.
  18. I got Josie Jo Armstead "Ride out the Storm" on demo, and Patti Austin "Day By Day" on demo, to find out when they arrived they where stero/mono demos
  19. I found a UK copy of this in a junk shop, and sold it to a mate, I never played it, this would have been late 72 or early 73. So nearly 40 years later I find out it is not the same record.
  20. Funny thing is me and Andy Lett was talking about this on facebook last week Ginger did the same thing with "Lighten Up" in the 70s. I have always loved both versions even back in the 70s
