Great stuff Steve, ..

Got me thinking whilst watching the programme last night.. with the usual footage, if somebody, somewhere in the world has any private video footage hidden away, taken on a normal night from the Casino without the "film crew , lights. camera action hysteria. It would be absolute Gold dust. Suppose it would have surfaced by now,( not many video cameras about in those days i know)but it is a possibility, a long shot i know, but still a possibility, maybe someone who left the scene many many years ago when the Casino died who never looked back (there are some) who has an old video stuck up in the loft or down the cellar gathering cobwebs...it would be priceless

Blimey Julian, I lived in undercliffe at the time & never knew about that warehouse, only the market stall, i bet Ivor Allen (reknown Bradford dealer) who lived round the corner at the time knew about it though, his house was a treasure trove, Aint seen him for many years now, dont know if he,s still around. Reminded me about last time i seen him was at that pile bar all dayer, where he did multiple trips ferrying crates of records in his trusted volvo estate loaded up to the hilt that the exhaust pipe was scraping on the floor, he literally filled the entire venue with records for a pittance, of which we could possibly only dream about now.

I too was a regular at the Casino from the mid 70,s right through to the final nighter (that was,nt) in 81. Like most Soulies at the time i also attended various other nighters & dayers throughout the country, some small venues, others larger ones, some with good sound systems, some really crap ones, some with good atmospheres some with none at all, but the Casino was unique and no other venue had that special earthy magic. (imo)....Life long unforgetable memories
