I am so sorry if this has been covered before (if so please direct me)
What an absolute pile of garbage and untruths. Whoever wrote this is clearly one sandwich short of a picnic.

1031 and 1032 have zero to do with Jeff King.
They are recent.- 2

Agree 100% and it was only when I spotted Manship (as he sometimes does) concluding stuff, that I started digging.
I have absolutely no doubt that he will now claim he knew about it years ago as he did with my solving of who "Cajun Hart" was.....cheeky
Maybe you are unaware…….the Vegas brothers were at Soultripusa 2004 Los Angeles with the 300 strong British contingent. They spoke openly about their lives in the music business and in particular to me…..Joe Hicks on AGC.
There could be others on here who may have had the nous to ask about Danny Monday? If not, the Danny Pell uncovering is useful information.- 1

Honestly - hold up your hands, you got caught - have a laugh and move on
Caught for what? The trouble maker hasn’t stated what he’s upset about.
Just seems strange that he was trying to buy Blackpool Tower tickets a month ago……on here!- 2

Winding up a customer? The author was derogatory and having a go. No issues there, apart from he was trying to buy Blackpool Tower tickets less than a month ago. Cheers

Just a small query Kev
It has come to light that "You Don't Love Me" charted in July 1967 in both Detroit and Cleveland
It has been suggested that it may be memory or a typo that this article says released early 1968 or perhaps the Demos were out and being played and the Issues were pressed much later, but thought would throw into the mix for anorak and histories sake if you can confirm please.
Discussion is here on link below on Manships recent auction starting down the page The Yank
Probably Robert Paladino’s memory. He was the one who told me 1968. Easy mistake to make though.

The 'stop' sounds the same to the 45 release. As for the unknown title 'we never got together'... I can't say nor find anything on a quick search. What does it sound like ?

Once Upon A Time In Wigan is taking place at the Forum Theatre, Stockport July 29-31.
Following a similar production in Ashton U Lyne in 2019, the company reached out to me to host the After Party which I agreed to do.
If you haven’t seen it yet, hopefully see you soon.- 1

Thanks VM guys - all great info. I thought they may be different versions and just played them both (but can’t find the CDs yet) - the Benn-X seems more polished, less raw. That would make sense that Tim let his acetate be released on a Goldmine TP.
The different Groups all had at least one great release.
PT
Goldmine released the title as they had the rights to Frank Bedinelli’s catalogue. The CD release was from master tapes I believe.

and was the bonnyvettes a similar story?
Yes. From the same source. Unreleased Festival single.
I don’t have a scan but Google should have one.
Charlotte Stokes- Is This The Price I Have To Pay(Tip) from the same source too.

hiya, what's the story behind The Babysitters - You'll Have To Wait?
The track was released on a short vinyl run by Festival Records owner Herb Abramson.
Guide vocalist is Ken Williams.
I was the UK distributor, sadly it didn’t sell due to the poor quality.
Herb was a friend of mine and is best known as one of Atlantic’s founding fathers in 1947.
Effectively the demo prior to the Bobbby Treetop release.
