yes i bought a bobby james and i know another lad who bought one as well was about 6 years back but not sure myself you could be right with 8 years , i thought the bnf is terrible record rare or not i wouldn't buy it

i completely agree phill i had the choice of either one.the la beat was a very clean copy at 2200 at the time but the palmer was mint and cheaper after hearing both records i bought the palmer as it sounded much better

losing the plot had to delete as i'm on the wrong thread thought it was about the guy doing the labels

but fred did play it long before all the( i played it mob) but it was at least 7 years ago maybe more but not not 4 , and fred doesn't come on here or have owt to do with northern soul ego scene anyone that knows him as i do will tell you the same

the late kenny spence and ste whtittle in mm's also one or two other wigan lads did spots in the early days along with the late mike rollo as well but mike died of a brain hemorrhage around 75 i think may have been sooner cant remember

what a shock this sad news is, it took me right back to being 17 again when myself keith and a few other friends used to be regulars at the weekly club nights at the casino and then we were always in Mrms at the nighter always at local events i think keith was a friend to most folks on this scene a genuine nice bloke and a great laugh not to mention a very good dj rip keith

i remember he also had two within a few months of each other on auction a few years ago not the best copy's in the world went for 3200 and 3600 i think or around that figure , i knew the bloke who owned one of them anyways i have been after it myself since then and have asked just about most folks i know who might have one and asked on here twice but to no avail

it wouldn't surprise me if the price goes even dafter given the 3 people that for reasons better known to themselves keep bumping the price up with loads of time left , very strange
