think he wants 120 or somthing most of them do ! , but one went for 75 on here only couple of weeks ago but with the present financial troubles i dont want to pay the 125 or whatever it is they recon its worth , i recon 90 or a 100 is nearer to the mark ??

i have started to go to the southport weekender its bloody briliant like like 74 all over again but diferent scene diferent people but very enjoyable music and to my suprise they aint all kids and losts o folks older than me . they also dont take themselves too seriously like our lot . it dont matter what music you like if it makes you happy who cares!!! . i like old stuff classics everything but like other peeps have mentiond it realy gets a bit much week after week same bloody tunes same boring dj's last night i was dancing to some awesome modern tunes all i heard from my mates was f... shit this, i realy struggle at times to understand why there taste is so limited , some old classics are like a big top steak dinner briliant very tasty but if i had to eat it every day for over 30 years you would hate it . i have stoped going to most nighters as is like being in a room full of geriatrics yes i am one as well but dont mean you want to be one every month i like to feel young now and again best get me coat eh?

ah well there you go this just proves part of me point. as i also knew a handfull from wigan who was at it' and when you stop to think how many more from other places you get the pic. but realy that was only a small part of what i was on about am sorry it was taken the wrong way it would be silly to make out the club was only worth going at the begining or somthing am only to glad that people carried on going and that new people went and carried the place forward and mainly honist decent peeps like your selves but from our point of veiw the the first lot lets say ' we could see the changes and weather wrong or right i didant like the changes and the way it was going and i know i wasant the only one . as i mentiond before if you care to mention sertin clubs yer allways going to get people going on about the clubs hey day .at wigan i think a new genaration started to come and the old one started to come les and les the first ones was made up with people that also used to atendid the wheel and the torch but as time went on they started to drop off and a new generation started to take form .aniway am not going to go on about all our yesterdays and no doubt some bugger will take issue with anything i say but for me and many others it became a circus ah well who gives a monkeys aniway we all enjoyed it who cares when they went , i also didant take proper notice of what the thread was about

yeah i get a little fed up when people completly twist what i say to make me sound like a tw,,tt , first of all this is the first time i have ever said it . second thing is i just didant think it was as good from a point of veiw that i went every week in the begining and then didant go much at all after 76 but if you take a look at what i wrote i did say i stil visited the place in 78 and later so i was in a position to make a comparison due to the previous persons posting about ................... these people who stoped going blah blah blah . i do not go around forcing my opinion on people of course people enjoyed atending the club dosant mater what year or any thing f.. me mate take it easy. it was only my own personel opinion on when i enjoyed the place the most . did i say every body who went after a serten date was all scallys no . i stand by what i said and thats if you wasant there like you wasant how the f...k would you know any diferent . now that dont make me any beter than you are dose it ?? did i emply that no . so now if you hapen to make any comparisons regarding what you think of your time at the casino your a snob .i personly couldent give a monkeys what year or in fact if a person ever went to the casino .i dont judge them or think anything les of them . i would just like to make an inocent comparison without some body trying to make out this and that all because i just hapand to have been a reguler at the casino from the day it opend and gave my opinion . am i to apologise for it ?? regarding my time in 74 as you say whats all that about ??? i allready explained i also went up to the emp later on thats my whole point mate am sorry people keep teling you how bad it was compared to the early years thats not my fault same as its not my fault it turnd in to a feckin sircus mate but then you wouldent know the diference eh? lol couldent resist it mate

er? i was quoting the other persons use of the word shit !!! , and i wasant refaring to the music at any time!!! . part of my reason for my statment was .............. the thieving the scallies that started turn up in grater numbers the terible commercialism that then atracted more idiots that then contributed to the clubs down fall the amount of kids am not talking about people under age 17 16 am talking about bloody perants standing around outside mike walkers office. the writing was on the wall and a lot of people stoped going and i heard on some nights towards the end the place was nearly empty ..... a far cry from the cracking atmospheric early nights the place was allways full over 2000 and a lot more when the likes of m lance jnr walker betty wright and jackie wilson played , i started to notice more and more trouble . this all sounds a bit extreme but i and many more people started to see the change like most sucsesfull clubs it became a victim of its own popularity .if you think of lots of sucsesfull clubs and so on your allways going to get people making statments about a clubs hey day and this tends to be before it gets known to every man and his dog its just a light harted coment mate

i get sick of young people that think all us older people all think the same way ......lol

thats because 27 years later nothing can compare with it .sad but true !!! just my opinion i can think of worse people making money out of this scene in far worse ways ......roberts and bootlegs spring to mind !!!! blackpool horible tower another

sorry to have to say this but i did go in 78 79 a few times and was a reguler back in 74 every week and for me it most sertenly did go shit later on and that is one of many reasons i packed it in . but hey its only an opinion . if you wasant there at the begining er? how would you know the diference ?? ...............but my atitude is it dont make any diference when or where you went .if you enjoyed it thats all that maters no bugger can take your happy memorys away .for me there was no place like the old emp as we calld it in wigan .... paul

yeah i was there got to say i agree ...........it gave a terible acount of the casino every bugger i knew was walking around with there hands over there eyes , i came out of mr Mms only to be blinded by some bugger with a camera and fairy thing on a pole , needles to say i decided to fook of in to the cloakroom as i had taken bloody pondrax only to find every other bugger there who had also scored them from me , they wsant to pleased !!!! the whole experience haunted me for days , for me the death of the casino was 96 before then best nights i had since er? i went camping and lost me cherry

I WAS ALLSO A SWEEPER UPPER BUT GOT PROMOTED TO BEING A COKE CARRIER WE USED TO UMP CRATES OF COKE AROUND MRMms and the main room before the night started . i must know you mate ??? i allso used to watch the rock bands before the nighter or stayed in mms before it opend watching acts like fire eating magicians ,it was cabaret night in mrms before the nighter started in there lol . it was a very strange experiance waiting to come up on me bombers i can tel you lol,
