yeah well i paid a grand for mine last year and there wasant many for sale then , and none under a grand , and the ones on flea bay didant sell for the price mentiond above or may be it did,but i know some that defo did not!!. i apear to be very unlucky these days as when am thinking of selling a record it drops in price like a stone acording to some and yet when am after one its worth fortunes , is it just me or what .but i do agree there seems to be a few turning up over the last year but then again there apears to be lots of things turning up , oh and the one on manships auction did a bit more than that i recall not to long ago

Record Mountain Growing By The Day

i think a lot of folks are geting a little carried away here with what i was actuly meaning .the big defining thing here is we are talking here and now 2009 and the mountain of vinyl that no body wants or am i on the wrong thred ? loads o cheap good sounding records about yeah for sure and most of it is part of the mountain , yes twenty years ago there was cheap records that went on to be worth a good few pound, how many these days . what i was meaning is out of a box of 300 cheap tunes at ten pounds a pop i aint going to be getting 3 grand for it am i lol .i didant say owt about ten pound records being any good or not good . what i was saying is in my experience i find the cheaper tunes the most dificult to shift in fact i thought everybody did . and i stick by what i said n that is the higher end tunes tend to keep there value beter than the cheaper tunes .yeah sure lots o stuff go's up in value but we are talking 2009 not 79 but anyway you can argue all this until the cows come home but i would sooner have a box of 30 top tunes than a box of 300 ten pound tunes thats all . or am i on my own here ? no am not i thought that it was very simple to understand -
hey up phil . its no wonder phil knows am destitute due to sending him fortunes !!!

yes its correct as i have been using this method for over a year and i apear to have told every person on this site by the looks of it , but it wont always work because once you have sent a fair amount of money paypals automatic security system kicks in ,( because this is what they told me ) they have to wait for the money from your bank .so if you aint got the funds or your up to no good .ie. using some other persons paypal acount (think about it) to send cash . they paypal will lose out . i know this because i sent a bloke a grand one day no problem next day i tried to send the same bloke more cash for more tunes but it wouldent let me do it stating not enough funds . i knew i had .so couldent work it out . rang paypal and the guy explained it all to me . they will only let you send so much money no mater how trusted or how much you have ,

yeah true james .but you can also say the same thing on some rarer tunes .how many times have you seen a dog rare record with a big silly price tag that sounds bloody awful . i have lots o times and i certinly aint one of the sheep , as for buying ten pound records and all that it dont work for me as i just end up with loads and loads of worthles records that dont realy make the grade. quality dearer tunes that are not easy to find will keep there value or at least you have more chance of geting your cash back with them , and as for the people that call you every name under the sun for having er? trophy records tel me somthing new ? there aint nothing worse than having to listen to small minded arse holes that tend to be gealous to death , if folks prefare to spend there hard earnd cash on tunes good for them . some folks drive nice cars have posh life styles go on big fancy holidays and some dont!!! if a bloke spends all his cash on a record its his choice i can think of worse people . like the tight fisted twatts that go on luxury fancy holidays year after year and only buys bootlegs ... anyway ive got to go now having murder trying to find some pants big enough round the crotch -
i will own an original lester tipton by the wknd with a bit of luck .i also own some nice rarer tunes and i run a or did run a soul night , please please dont make the mistake in taring every soul night with the same (oldies pressings brush) we only hire dj's with proper labels always have done .

yeah well didant you do well , as i know both the other lads couldent get one .and i know both would have given 350 easy but it wasant enough , manships auction prices for that week are listed on this site may be 2 or 3 months ago not sure , the other bloke offering one at five was a bloke in preston , i can pm you his name on here if you like ? , as i said if you got a minter for that price mate two months ago in my opinion you did very well , i can only go off my own experiance and the two others i know , but good luck to you anyway regards paul

done somthing wrong here god knows what but iv'e ended up puting the same thing on twice sorry folks .... but i can asure you there is lots of people that collect originals that do take the time and comitment in tracking fresh tunes down and spend the money and in my opinion most folks (not all) but most that buy original records do have the pasion and SPEND THE CASH or may be they dont ? but i know one thing .... I DO !!!! -

dont forget there are lots of promotors dj's that have tried so hard to give a real quality mix of the lot including a little modern am talking about my self for one !! we play or did play' quality rarer tunes oldies r&b the lot . and for me it turned out to be the worst thing i did because am sorry to say it' but it was mainly the oldies crowd that just wasn't prepared to listen to owt diferent and the rarer folks was just to thin on the ground always opting to go to the nighters or the biggest event on that played rarer tunes and yet i had some of the countrys best djs on for a month or two but it just didn't work , (yes i know before any body says there is lots trying to do the same thing i know there is !!!!) now my way of thinking is i like what i like and that includes some fantastic oldies that nothing will ever compare to . but i also like fresh!! rare !!cheap !!diferent !!whatever ? if i like it' i like it. but am never going to hear it at an oldies soul night only bloody back to back worn out pressings and its the pressings issue that has more to do with this subject than anything ,now i know they all dont play pressings but there is hell of a lot that do , if they had to play original records then the scene would be a lot more like it used to be .....quality tunes fresher tunes played at packed out venues evolving naturaly . ps: sorry about the poor spelling -
like the man says there have been a few on ebay last one a friend o mine got it at £200 in january .not many granted '' but they do turn up so save all the hype .and it wasn't a beaten up copy either . paul s..... it was actually a friend of yours from the dda room who got it for the 200 back in january this year and another was sold over burnley way not to long ago . but i agree its looking like a hard one
