i also rimember dink .i bumped in to her now and again over the years . i last seen her back in 84 when i put her up for the night' sadly dink didnt make it she died only a few months later down south anyway like longy' i used to get in for nothing as well and was friendly with some of the staff . i fully agree with longy it became a circus the place was never out the papers for all the wrong reasons music and drugs where only one part of it .i stoped going back end of 76 but carried on visiting now and again until 78 .by then every scally in wigan was up there so god knows how many others from other towns where going up' by the time it closed i had grown up had kids and was working in london . some fantastic times at the old emp' but did i miss it' no chance . i also rimember helping out in russ w's shop with another lad in those days r serling was also in the shop behind the counter at times .always rimember him sending us to the news agents for mags and they wasant your music mags thats for sure :shhh:am going on a bit here time to go ive even forgot what the threds about:g:

yep i agree with this as what about the farther and son team from bolton all over the new's a few months ago ? they fooled all the top arty farty experts including sutherby's and the british museum producing fake replica's of art sculpture you name it they can do it' all from a shed at the botom of the garden and they did it for year's and we are talking real expencive things over a milion pounds worth easy . am holding an old boot in my hand the vinyl is crap with loads of imperfections so i compared it to my original of delites love and you would be a good un if you could tel the diference in the vinyl as this also is done with the waste vinyl or somthing and full of imperfections just like the vinyl on this old boot .the boot isnt of the same record but the vinyl looks exactly the same . and i cant see the label being that ard to do'

er? yeah right . me being a wiganer who knew most of the door men up there i take that as bolocks ,a couple o those door men ive personly seen knock f... out of one of the bigest blokes you have ever seen and all for not drinking up when he was told to f.. off n put the drink down the guy tried to take a drink and the glass was smashed out of his hand just mising his throat . now ive also seen the decent side of them as well as i was a cleaner got in for nowt along with a handfull of others i was on a good number and i stupidly thretend one of them i ended up having a right good laugh with them , they delt with 2000 people up there most wknds considering that and all the goings on . i think compared to the pricks that are suposed to be doormen these days i think they did remarkebly good , compare what they did and put up with ......f.... sake man these days you can get killed by just going for a drink . tatsty people lol more bag theves n beggars than owt
