  5. you got to be having a laugh .for the first few years was brill . then didnt go up there for a few months then on my next visit got turned over by the fake ds these lot to me was the real scum of all time . then after a few years i wanderd up and saw some well known theives in numbers all over the place , more villans up there than most folks come across in a life time

  11. yeah i noticed talmadge armstrong was around £200 not that long ago' didnt you sell it the other day for £550 records can go up in price very fast . i paid £100 for it 5 months ago if that'

  16. yeah its bloody strange this ebay lark . i put up ronnie forte whisky talking a few weeks ago' american bloke sells his for well over two hundred squid .i put mine up' condition wise not that much diference i best i got was just over 100 squid on the same week . anyway ive got a ray pollard a real clean one vg++ if not better and ill be selling it soon . for the 1300 what i paid for it last year , if your intorested
  17. i also rimember dink .i bumped in to her now and again over the years . i last seen her back in 84 when i put her up for the night' sadly dink didnt make it she died only a few months later down south anyway like longy' i used to get in for nothing as well and was friendly with some of the staff . i fully agree with longy it became a circus the place was never out the papers for all the wrong reasons music and drugs where only one part of it .i stoped going back end of 76 but carried on visiting now and again until 78 .by then every scally in wigan was up there so god knows how many others from other towns where going up' by the time it closed i had grown up had kids and was working in london . some fantastic times at the old emp' but did i miss it' no chance . i also rimember helping out in russ w's shop with another lad in those days r serling was also in the shop behind the counter at times .always rimember him sending us to the news agents for mags and they wasant your music mags thats for sure :shhh:am going on a bit here time to go ive even forgot what the threds about:g:
