  5. sorry but the above doesnt make sense there is no sutch thing as a set price records go up in value and they come down, bit boring all this 'oh its only a £35 record' lots of very big records started out pretty cheap in fact most did ,people have been buying records for years thinking this could be masive one day !! , ive noticed lots of people on this site saying oh this record and that record is only a £ record ect' usually by folks that have sold it before there was any demand for it ive seen same peoples sales list's with prices on that i wouldnt pay i realy dont understand this attitude of being suprised when records go up or down .its all been part n parcel of buying and selling rare records for 30 years and more .long before popsike and the pc .

  16. not sure about the oldies only mate . i know it became an oldies room later on but in the early days it was just another room to accommodate the sheer number of people .in the early days many of the floor fillers of the day would be played along with older stuff i tried to explain it to friend the other day what it was like in there , to get from one part of the room where the little stage was to the other end near the toilets was a task , you had to pick your way though the folks all stood around the dance floor no easy task . complete strangers would just stick there arm out offering cola or chewing gum to anyone around them , for me there hasnt been another atmosphere in any club that could match it, as for dancing you couldnt even lift an arm up or hardly move your feet at times just a mass of sweaty bodies bouncing up n down .many times i ventured on the floor only to have to make a dash for the bogs to throw up coz the floor was alive .i could swear that dance floor bounced about 2 foot in the air at times it was the heavy duty party people's room. no doubt about it prophets ...i got the fever
  17. dare i say it' but ...don thomas come on train . people bouncing off the dance floor the stomping was that bad all in time with the sound down exiters reaching for the best , and anyone who went in there in the early days will also remember a mad dash for ....THE SNAKE may be ridiculed these days but it was played then .music jeanette white psychedelic soul saxie russell you could go on forever anything fast n furious lots from the torch, i lived in that room and become thinner and thinner until i disapeard
