if i'm in doubt i'll leave it, thankfully not many left in my box now, but there are some and i hold my hand up to that. they get people dancing and that's usually (except for 'upfront at the seafront' ) what i'm paid to do.

it's the punter who calls the shots. and, as you know bazza, when i'm not dee-jaying i'm a punter (which is most of the time)

true pete but if a request for something i only have on a re-issue or pressing (and i have managed to replace most of those) then THAT'S the appropriate time because he/she is the paying punter.

i for one will not play a pressing or even a re-issues if i know that any of the dee-jays on the same night as me has an original. but if i know they haven't then if it's appropriate then i'll play it. that seems a fair etiquette to me. anyone else?

i think he'll get a shock when he sees what he's started.... or may be not? he atleast deserves and award for filling in an otherwise boring (ish) sunday night.

when did you last hear a noise emminating from the prawn sandwich munching pseudo middle class dicks that now populate what used to be the palace of the kings of football, but... staying on topic... Cristiano Ronaldo could have won that dance comp. seen the 'tricks and flips' he can manage when in a penalty box!

just looked at the you-tube video and i have two questions 1) are gerry and sylvia anderson still alive and if so did i see that thong girl on Captain Scarlet School of Dance training video. 2) how much talc was used on the floor because as sure as fook that thong girl managed to avoid the 'suction' effect when doing those splits, and I know she was excited (if not a tad confused) ..... just asking!!

at the square peg in skeg we usually go on until 3:00 a.m. but...... if every one's knackered and departed by then we may (never have done yet) close a tad earlier so we can't really put exact time on but i think 2:30 a.m. / 3:00 a.m. can be described as late.

and i applaud that but once again you seem to think that just because YOU think that then all others should think alike. a lot of people go to venues because they know what they are going to hear and are in their comfort zone. this is one kind of venue and paying public. in other kinds people don't know what they are going to hear and enjoy that.... another kind of venue. diversity, let each kind live on in their own ethos without trying to enforce ones' opinion on to the other! simple really, live and let live.... buggar, did i already say that?

i don't know about you but for me it ain't a game of russian roulette..... a gamble, for me it's about entertaining the paying public and not me being a cleaver dick!.... guess that's just me then. you do what you have to do, play what you have to play, i have no problems with this, i embrace diversity but it seems as though you think ALL others should do as you do? who died and made you god?
