  6. Brettmeister, just list your spins before you play 'em in Hamburg!
  7. alternate takes...the other side of LPs...e.g. the smoother version of "Sweet Memories" by The New Sounds/Robert Tanner (sadly a crap recording on Turbo)...but a really nice version anyway!
  8. Benji, good question! in my case LP only, but I'd say it's up to the people who wanna post their playlists...
  9. To be honest: LPs are certainly much more interesting for x-over and modern tunes than for strictly northern ...
  10. hi everybody, we already had topics about "rare lp tracks" a.s.o. the 7" rules on the scene - no doubt...but a few "outlaws" did lp only sets in the past or are currently spinning 12"s ... It would be interesting to see/read what these guys spin on niters and which ones are open minded enough for it. Nowadays the 12" records are gettin' a bit more attention and are much more in-demand than they used to be on the scene back in the days...and to be honest: loads of brill choons out there that were missed in the past because of the northern protocol - imo! Feel free to post your lp only playlists in here...btw. radio show playlists are also welcome. Not sure if this topic will get much attention/posts, but let's give it a try... atb m.

  17. Just asked because of the intro "... Mr. Reid I got some bad news for you concerning your wife ..." - that was confusing me a bit ...
  18. Soul has to be tragic - no doubt...that's why we love these kinda deep and sad lyrics of quality productions... Yesterday I stumbled, while diggin' in my own crates, upon the Running Water LP by Clarence Reid. The choon "Please Stay Home" was a revelation of sadness...it's about a wife who committed suicide and what the husband feels after finding out... Any info on this song? Is it a biographical experience of Mr. Reid himself? Cause it's not usual to sing about such a sensitive topic! thx in advance! atb m. btw. didn't find a soundfile on youtube...will upload it during the next days and will post it here...
