CD" ... now I only have to release the movie...
  6. hi, I decided to start a new topic... (cause my "modern soul" one is running very well thanks for all the great recommendations!!!) my idea is: if there would be a documentry about your own life (in some cases it would be great fun to watch, wouldn't it?) & you had to compile the The Soul Of My Life (Soundtrack) which choons would be the ones that influenced you (to do the way you did)? what choons express yourself or maybe your thoughts, dreams ... sometimes things in our lifes flow not really smoothly and we need some choons to listen to in order to go on... and so on... it's about listing all the important songs that made you the guy/girl you are today - doesn't matter what kinda soulful songs you choose - northern (beat/mod sounds also accepted , x-over, southern, modern, nu-soul, funk, jazz - it's up to you...but please: no metal or hard'n'heavy sounds might be a great reflection of our soulful lifes... hope you like this topic...cheers, matt fox
  7. great choice, mate. Timeless Legend is a classic that wasn't mentioned here, was it??? got one more choon by William Bell: Yesterday I Lied, Today I Cried luv this one to death...

  10. do you remember this one??? Donnie Ray "Come Back" off the "Are You Ready For Me" CD on Bama Records. a brilliant 90s southern styled modern killa!!! this video was posted on soul source, ems & soul strut this year ... and the whole community tried to find out this artist's name: that's real soul in my opinion (not even the choon) LOL Mark Houghton uncovered it about 6 weeks ago...no one knew this amazing choon... go for it! rainbow disco
  11. not really a modern gem - but a nice one, mate!!! luv it...

  17. hi mate, sorry for listing this LP request but there are some really great 12"s around and loads of brilliant choons never issued on 45. that's why I dig both - lps and 45s ...
