  1. Thanks for all your help. Appears that its a futile search as never released !!!!
  2. Hi Ady, The press is one of the many that have been pressed recently with the Star on the label. Never officially released then ??
  3. Was it one of those 'found in the archives' and pressed later ?? Its on the other side of the recent 'RCA Press' - Hold To My Baby, assumed it must have been released !! Thanks Grant
  4. An RCA OV ( Demo perchance ) - The Cavaliers - Ooh It Hurts Me What price ??
  5. Will do it as soon as I get home tonight XXX
  6. Nothing much to be said RIP Terry, With Gil Scott Heron leaving us earlier in the year and now Terry Callier there is a massive void in music. Will be remembered and loved XXX
  7. Still after a copy - Can anyone point me in the direction of one ??
  8. Jon and The Wierdest !! No Time --- Awesome track, so much better than the other 'popular' side !!
  9. Yep. Saw it last month, reminded me, dug it out and played it out. Massive old Mod fav, my older sis loved it !!
  10. Starting to get a few more outings now Graham.
  11. Matchie was at Davy's last month and can still do it, albeit a little less than of old. First saw Matchie at Miners Camp in Skeggy '73/74 - I was in awe of him and impossible to mimic, a definite one off !!
  12. Maybe The Bowie track is not Northern but love the song !!
  13. Top 10 ?? All lift the spirit despite the majority being about lost or unrequited love !! Magicians - Is It All Gone Charades - Key To My Happiness Van Dykes - Save My Love For A Rainy Day Moses Smith - Girl Across The Street Mel Britt - She'll Come Running Back David Bowie - When I Live My Dream Bobby Hebb - Love Love Love Eula Cooper - Let Our Love Grow Higher Linda Jones - Just Can't Live My Life Morris Chestnut - Too Darn Soulful
  14. Definitely brought out the Foot movers and their intricate little patterns. Lots of arms and interpretation of the lyric. Close your eyes and live the moment dancers, quality !! The best dancers, IMHO, were the ones that danced for themselves and not for the voyeurs. Jethro and Mona from Chesterfield were legends '72 through '75. Mona still comes along but heard nothing of Jethro for an age ??!!
  15. It's always been a bit dodgy. The odd one could pull it off but the majority ??!!?? Standing. moving from side to side, then the big jump and spin then back to standing, moving from side to side !! Not many have been able to integrate it into a good dance and make it look an integral part of the routine. Personally love the sliders and shufflers - No 1 ?? 'Mick' of Samantha's fame !!
  16. Yes, the number on the Label. There's a precise place the F/W is scratched, I think at 10:00
  17. I have a proper copy - One of those, If you hold it with the number at the bottom th F/W is scratched in at 10:0 Clock ( something like that !! )
  18. When anyone puts a 'Link' on can they also put the record name as I cannot see them at Work and would love to see the selection. Just see an error message then everyone saying ' Great Choice !!' etc. Give us a clue !!
  19. Remember Sam when he first played 'Gwen Owens - Wanted & Needed' ( I think ) It always jumped at a certain point and all the Dancers knew and changed their Dance routine's to fit the jump. Sam was the only one playing it at the time - Kept with it and now - Everyone would wants it in their collection. We all have the Press but a proper copy - To Die For !! Well for me anyway.
  20. Russ - Don't let the B&*tards drag you down !! ( and before its jumped upon, I'm not calling anyone - just an expression !!) It appears that people who don't understand your moral stance insist on denigrating anything and everything you have to say. Not gonna pick out anything you said earlier but if it wasn't for people like your good self the scene would fall into anarchy with any would be DJ claiming the throne. Keep up the good work mate. Tezza XXX
  21. Is there a point to this discussion ?? It makes no sense !!
  22. Pete - Eric Morecambe/Andre Previn analogy - Brilliant - PMSL !!!
  23. Really ?? Is there a question in there ??
  24. Keep the fade up full if you play it !!
  25. I agree to an extent but 'Educate' is a dirty word. Implies that you know better or more !! Maybe its just a taste thing ?!?! Entertain - Yes, Definitely !!
