Yes, You have to claim. You are within your rights ( I believe, not 100% sure on this ) to wait until you have been refunded before paying back the other side but I tend to stump up as technically its not their fault ! Always keep your Postal Receipt as proof, makes the process a lot easier. I had several broken when they were held at the Sorting Office. Now have them delivered to my Work Address as there is always someone around to receive. I lost a Soul Brothers 6 on Atlantic Demo the same. Not massively expensive but what a waste of a good Record. Now 1 less in the World to play !!

Fabulous record. Much better than Eddie Parker and I suspect a little more rare ?? Gone went for 6,000 + so ???

Sean is a Diamond. If he is at a Venue, Big or Small, he arrives early and listens to what's being played. From this he doesn't duplicate and also gets a feel for the crowd and what they like. Doesn't just turn up, play his stuff, get paid and sod off.

Happened a lot at Prestatyn to be honest. Rita and The Tiaras or Gloria Jones, just to be different, was played an inordinate amount. Flavour of the Weekend was Albert Washington - heard that on many more than one occasion. One well know DJ, of some repute, was on Saturday and Sunday in the Main Room and started both his sets with the same 3 or 4 records, Criminal !! Its almost like they move around, see what people are Dancing to then play them themselves at their next venue etc etc and so the ball rolls ..

Not seen this before. Started it, did first page then thought it was a ridiculous survey. Don't know enough people from other genre's of music to make a valid in depth judgement on them.

They were fabulous, and a history lesson to boot. Fascinating to find out how much they were involved in and who they wrote for. 'Cause You're Mine was the one song they did that didn't do it for me Saturday Night but as you said, booming out, back in the day - amazing. Back to the question ( or at least a tenuous link back ) The Casino was good, The Casino was bad !! It was mostly down to the mood you were in yourself and also the DJ's, if they wanted to be. Never my No. 1 venue but did it because it was the law back then, I had the Car and had to Drive !! If we all liked the same shit it would be a sad sad world !! Now where's my Justin Bieber CD ??

I have never been refused but have not done so on my own volition when the event is on the same night as the one I'm attending (The following Month). I would also expect others to have the common decency not to do so.

I love, or should that be Hate, the fact that a load of stuff is labelled Northern Soul or under that umbrella but are obviously not. Maybe the seller has sold one NS Record and left the group when listing other things cause they can't be arsed or forgot to change it. A lot of boots for sale but perhaps that is because they want OV and need to raise the funds. Becoming a rich man's market. I know there is plenty of OV available for under a Tenner but for the big things like 'Big Thing' !!

My name is Terry and I am a User !! Totally agree mate. I am a slidey Dancer with Leather Soled Shoes and have always used Talc. I just put it down under my own feet and use it so. The floor is generally big enough to cater for those who do and those who don't. The main problem is with the people who use it like they are Crop Dusting, walk ito the middle of a floor and spray the stuff everywhere. Its a matter of common curtousey.
