Written by Frank Filipetti who went on to engineer some big pop tunes in the 80's and got a grammy in 1998 ...if this is the same guy, he was from Connecticut but came to NY in 1971 as a writer so fair to say this is a NY label recording (1974) Mines for sale if anyones interested? I agree on all points it does need a full listen. Think at the 2 min mark the production kicks up a gear and LM's vocals as you say are very, very good. Not sure about the 'white singer' comment take a listen to the funky side 'you stay on my mind' on refo for confirmation. A grower!

Lena Mone - hold me close on ASP I got this and although my copy has a nasty scratch think is a great Detroit dancer. The other side is good Funk and was comped on an lp a few years ago but I can't any mention of this side anywhere. Sorry about condition but it really gets going after 01.55 when the click stops so give it a chance.. Has it been overlooked? Is or was it played.
