There are so many fantastic records where you could appreciate both sides, as mentioned earlier in the thread this has to be up there among the greats. I can't remember the last time I saw an original for sale. John And The Weirdest - Can't Get Over These Memories
-
Two feelgood tunes on one 45, The Showmen - Our Love Will Grow / You're Everything
-
Benji pointed out how good this is
-
Johnnie Taylor – Friday Night is another on Stax Cover of Steve Mancha
-
Eddie Floyd – Bring It On Home To Me Cover of Sam Cooke

Very sad news, our sincere condolences to all.

Thank you to all for joining in and posting these great records, it really is appreciated. This would be a great place to start for anyone thinking of starting a collection. There are many great records listed and it's great to see everyone has different tastes and ideas of what they consider to be a great double header. Music takes us back to a particular time or place or reminds us of events or people. A few of the tracks listed over the past few days reminded me of some of our soul brothers and sisters who are no longer with us, but are still fondly in our memories. For me - The Soul Injection-Stay Off The Moon/Girl Full Of Charm-Accent The Differences-Five Minutes/That Was The Day-Monca Martha star - Love is the only solution/I'm lonely (Thelma) The Wanderers, You Can't Run Away From Me/ I'll Know Show Stoppers - Ain't Nothing But A House Party / What Can A Man Do Sitting In My Class / Isn't She A Pretty Girl - Ronnie McNeir - Deto Volumes - I just can't help myself/ One way lover

One of the popular picks and if I recall rightly a record that even got Tim up dancing. Darrell Banks - Our Love (Is In The Pocket) / Open The Door To Your Heart
-
Another cracking double header Thelma Lindsey – Prepared To Love You / Why Weren't You There
-
Takes me right back, another Supremes record would be Love is like an itching in my heart / He's all I got. Also on Motown, R. Dean Taylor - There's A Ghost In My House / Let's Go Somewhere.

It’s fascinating going through the thread, a proper mixed bag of quality soul. Anyone just getting into soul music, look at the posted suggestions, get on to YouTube and play them, guaranteed you’ll be hooked. Then find them, buy them and enjoy them. Some of the popular suggestions in no particular order – Darrell Banks – Open The Door To Your Heart / Our Love (Is In The Pocket) The O'Jays – Hold On / Working On Your Case John And The Weirdest – Can't Get Over These Memories / No Time Admirations/Aspirations - You left me / I want to be free Billy Hambric - She said goodbye/ I found a true love Jackie Beavers - I need my baby/ a love that never grows old Cashmeres - Showstopper /Don’t let the door Dearly Beloved /Do You Believe It - Jack Montgomery Bernard Williams – It's Needless to Say / Focused On You My Kind of Woman / You're my Mellow - Edwin Starr Show Stoppers - Ain't Nothing But A House Party / What Can A Man Do Larry Atkins - Ain't that love enough /Lighten up Ruby – Feminine Ingenuity / Deceived

One of my all time favourites, awesome record.
-
Absolutely
-
Maybe not in the same league as Jon And The Weirdest – Can't Get Over These Memories / No Time or Jackey Beavers – I Need My Baby / Love That Never Grows Old But two very good sides - Billy Kennedy – This Is A Groovy Generation / Sweet Things
-
Both sides pure quality
-
Definitely, great to see both Admirations/Aspirations quoted. I think Harpo (when he had his original collection) and Ted both had the rarer Aspirations. As time has gone on there maybe more? Quality and still a very sought after 45
-
Both sides superb

Tales of a recovering vinyl junkie. Years ago I was at the 100 club and there was a copy for sale and I knew it would be a long time before I saw another and had to have it. The wife was really concerned as I said if I don't sell enough records tonight to buy it I'll offer my car lol. I did get the record and didn't have to part with car lol

The response has been amazing, thank you to everyone that has contributed so far, keep them coming. Soul Source has been my number one website to follow for many years. It's great to see the faith still be shared. When I started on this journey over 40 years ago there was no Internet, but everyone shared the knowledge and helped one another. It's fantastic to see that after all these years we still have Soul Source and each other. For all the younger generation and people just getting into soul music, this is a great place to be. As we would say back in the day. Keep the faith Keep em coming folks, thank you

Great track, brings back great memories of the Volumes at Prestatyn, also I had a chance to purchase this from a guy visiting Richard Shaw, as some of you may remember was a record seller from Congleton many years ago. Quite often you would meet well known DJ's and record dealers in his shed at the bottom of his garden where he stored his records. It's been a strange journey at times.

I had forgotten about the flip of the Precisions, hauntingly good tune.
