  1. Especially for Ritchie, this was part of our conversation and his deal with Colin all those years ago.
  2. Totally shocked by this sad news. We were only talking to him a couple of weeks ago in Llandudno. RIP, you will be greatly missed.

Very sad news, Jim was a wealth of knowledge. I had many a lovely chat with him. He always had some very interesting records in his sale box. Our sincere condolences to all family and friends, thank you for the memories Jim. RIP

Our sincere condolences to all, very sad news. I had many a good chat with Nogger over the years, he could always find plenty of bargains in the record bars. Sadly missed, RIP my friend.
  6. The intro of Tony & Tyrone – Please Operator
  7. Licenced and qualified, oh dear, so far away from the roots we grew up with.
  8. Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas🎄🎁
  9. Always liked this record
  10. This one always takes me back to a Northern Soul Christmas party in the 80's, Billy Watkins - The Ice-man, good times
  11. Thank you for sharing, a tragic story with a beautiful thought. We will certainly be thinking of you this Christmas. 🙏
  12. Forgotten about the Tiaras, good shout 👍
  13. Some great records here, over the years I've only seen one issue of Charles Brandy, if I recall it was found by Tim and sold to Gary Spencer, that was a long time ago. Love Frankie Beverly and the Professionals 👍
  14. Two good sides - Soul City - Who Do You Think You Are/Cold Hearted Blues
  15. Nice record 👍
  16. Eric Mercury - Take me girl I'm ready is another that springs to mind.
  17. If not mentioned already, George Benson - On Broadway. Covered by many artists but this is my favourite.
  18. There are so many fantastic records where you could appreciate both sides, as mentioned earlier in the thread this has to be up there among the greats. I can't remember the last time I saw an original for sale. John And The Weirdest - Can't Get Over These Memories
  19. Two feelgood tunes on one 45, The Showmen - Our Love Will Grow / You're Everything
  20. Benji pointed out how good this is
  21. Johnnie Taylor – Friday Night is another on Stax Cover of Steve Mancha
  22. Eddie Floyd – Bring It On Home To Me Cover of Sam Cooke
  23. Very sad news, our sincere condolences to all. 🙏
  24. Thank you to all for joining in and posting these great records, it really is appreciated. This would be a great place to start for anyone thinking of starting a collection. There are many great records listed and it's great to see everyone has different tastes and ideas of what they consider to be a great double header. Music takes us back to a particular time or place or reminds us of events or people. A few of the tracks listed over the past few days reminded me of some of our soul brothers and sisters who are no longer with us, but are still fondly in our memories. For me - The Soul Injection-Stay Off The Moon/Girl Full Of Charm-Accent The Differences-Five Minutes/That Was The Day-Monca Martha star - Love is the only solution/I'm lonely (Thelma) The Wanderers, You Can't Run Away From Me/ I'll Know Show Stoppers - Ain't Nothing But A House Party / What Can A Man Do Sitting In My Class / Isn't She A Pretty Girl - Ronnie McNeir - Deto Volumes - I just can't help myself/ One way lover
  25. One of the popular picks and if I recall rightly a record that even got Tim up dancing. Darrell Banks - Our Love (Is In The Pocket) / Open The Door To Your Heart
