    Having had the privilege to read some of Berry Gordy's hand written notes on a demo, it surely is what's in the groove that counts and judging by his notes he really did look at the production from every angle and if it wasn't good enough he didn't put it out. Obviously there was quite a lot of unreleased Motown that should have been released, but if it had have been would it have made it commercially? That's another story. I heard a radio interview with Ginger and the story behind the Four Vandals and I really didn't blame his actions towards a certain producer, enough said. Like have said there are thousands of brilliant 45's why would you want to waste your time experimenting!

    Why would you want to, there's plenty of really great tunes out there, without re-editing and mixing anything. If it wasn't finished off in the studio, there was probably a very good reason, because it wasn't good enough for release and public performance in the first place. I agree with Russ, it's a can of worms and I doubt the artist would see a penny, not unless you are truthfully are going to do it under licence from the record company etc Cut it onto acetate and play it out ???? Sounds a bit like another thread on here

    THE PUNTERS OPINION FROM THE PAST KINDRED SOUL NIGHTS My God!! what a feast of tunage we were treated to!!!! From when we arrived till when we left ,,, record after record total quality, it was relentless!! Nige Brown Really good to see some of the scenes best known and respected faces in attendance! Phil Threlfall Great people, great mix of quality music a great venue! Gilly Great to see so many people make the effort for Tony & Mace it will only go from strength to strength! Ian Cunliffe What an absolute stunner of a night! Jumpin' Joan We all had a great time last night, will definately be back for some more. Thanks for a TOP NIGHT!! Jelly Bean and Kerby Really looking forward to July should be a packer! Ted Massey Music was superb! John Fisher Really enjoyed it, music was spot on, with a nice chilled atmosphere in the room. Will def try to make July. Only negative was we didn't make the first Kindred! First visit for us,really enjoyed it,music was top notch all night,all for a fiver can't be bad !! One of the best soul nights, I've been to, in this neck of the woods for many years, reminded me so much of Albrighton, loads of atmosphere, top sounds, top D.J.'s, no politics, no egos etc etc, I can see this being one of the MUST DO nights in the soul calender, see you all in June.
