  2. Yes, I've got Andy down on the list, 2 votes now

  4. What about Dave Rimmer - outstanding point of reference with his website - https://www.soulfulkindamusic.net/ Also he must have travelled thousands of miles to DJ and promote the Northern scene, a great guy all round, definitely gets my vote.
  5. Great post Ian, spot on
  6. Trust you vote noted
  7. Fair point, didn't realise it had been done before, however people's opinion change as time passes, and it's good to be looking at the positive side of the soul scene.
  8. The top 3 so far John Anderson, Richard Searling, Ady Croasdell
  9. Looking forward to Arthur's set at Lifeline, without doubt it will be awesome.
  10. Some very interesting nominees, all of which are well worthy of a mention, keep them coming folks
  11. You're right about the top 4 so far, early days though
  12. Let's not forget the ladies, Jumpin' Joan, Val Palmer, Jo Wallace etc.
  13. If you could gave an outstanding contribution award to someone on the soul scene, who would it be and why? There are many people who are worthy of a mention, here's just a few names that spring to mind for the nominees, John Manship - Butch - Soul Sam Mainly because of their dedication and enthusiasm for the music, also they have kept this scene going for many years, even through the lean periods, when a lot of people thought the soul scene was dead and buried. I'm sure the list will go on and on, I could think of at least another dozen or so people who are worthy of mention, however it would be interesting to know your thoughts.

  17. Disagree, it's not a cop out, if you know what a bootleg is you don't really need an answer to what an original is and to what to play at a venue, just my opinion.
  18. It's probably easier to say what a bootleg is - Wikipedia A bootleg recording is an audio and/or video recording of a performance that was not officially released by the artist or under other legal authority. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bootleg_recording
  19. If you haven't got em' don't play em' If you've got a copy of a Picasso hanging on your wall, you still haven't got a Picasso Kindred Soul all originals, fair to everyone, the artists, punters and fellow DJ's.
