In every thread about Wigan on here the comments are made about it being dead after 1977 and pop music being played. Fair enough, the music did go a bit wayward at times, but look what other records were broken there during those final years. Everybody seems to forget that. And why does the "people should move on" statement only concern Wigan. Stafford is always fondly remembered and the experience of visiting there wasn't a patch on Wigan.

Returned from a buying trip to Shifty's today and put my records into my box. Had a bit of a clean up and threw out a load of record mailers that I'd been keeping to re-use if I ever sell anything. Later on my housemate got home and, even though she wasn't at all interested, started to play her the records I'd bought. Searched and searched my record box for the mint International GTO's I'd got but couldn't find it. In a panic I emptied the bin and checked through the record mailers and there it was, still in the mailer I'd bought it home in. Luckily its a bank holiday week as the bin men normally come on Wednesday afternoon.

Have heard the all of my life acetate played many times by the current owner. The start of the track is different to the CD issued one, as said earlier with the drum roll. The discs went through John Andersons hands twice as he sold them to Dave Thorley then the current owner bought them off John whilst working for him in the 1980s.

I take it most who give the supply and demand argument are sellers. They've got to be the only one's who can state that records are not massively overpriced. The ridiculous increase in prices over the last five is even near impossible for them to justify. Major Lance - You Don't Want Me No More £450 on a recent auction ? No, I don't want you no more. Anyone know where you can get decent record boxes from. Prefer heavy wood one but if not any good quality box. Someone selling them recently at NCS niter at the stables but when I went back to get one they'd left.

Still regard Parr Hall as the best nighters I've ever been to. I always preach on about it but very few people seem to remember it. Loved everything about it, even the 4 hour wait for the train home in the morning. Got so excited when the re-union was announced in the 90s but the night was let down by a crap sound system. Place looked so small as well. It was always huge in my memories!

Steve Chadwick had one in the 90s. Sure he sold his to Ady Croasdell when he had his big sell up.

Cant believe Richard Anthony not sold. If only I had the money (if only I hadn't got divorced). Might have to consider selling a few at St Ives on Friday to raise the funds if it aint sold by then.
