  10. I HAVE STARTED GOING AGAIN TO NORTHERN SOUL NIGHTS AND I GO HOME FEELING SO FRUSTRATED WITH THE LACK OF QUALITY BEING PLAYED BY TODAYS DJ'S. EACH PUSHING THEIR OWN "RARE" SOUNDS (USUALLY GARBAGE) AND IGNORING THE PROVEN GREAT OLDIES. CHEERS PRIGGY FROM SHEFFIELD derek.prigmore@virgin.net link ================================================ Priggy If it was,nt for DJ,s pushing their own rare sounds as you put it the scene would have died years ago, and there would be the odd revial nite once a year or so playin the 100 or so proven oldies from the Wheel, Mecca, Torch, Wigan ect ect, speaking from experience I have attended most venues since the late 60,s without a break and you can take it from me the music being played today is has good if not superior to the classic oldies from yesteryear. DONT KEEP THE FAITH ! SPREAD IT !!! Regards Ian Cunliffe

  18. Got a copy off that really nice Mark Hanson chappie six months back for £100 which in my opinion is about £50 less than its worth (150 ) Top double sider and worth every £.......... Thanks Mark !!!
  19. =================================================== The counterfiets where copied off a original demo, the reason only a few had the date stamp on is because the ink took ages to dry...This info from the nice chap who made such a good job of making such a good lookin lookalike to fool quiet a few would be experts when they where first done Personally and from my own point of view over the past few years I think one or two other so called originals that have turned up unexpectingly are of lets just say Anyone with ideas of 45,s that just dont look right Four Vandals classic example of how easy it his to fool so called top collecters / DJ,s................ P.S The John & Weirdest was the only one done at the time over in the States and it was never intented to be sold as a original and they where being sold over here at the time by Matchie for £15
  20. When the counterfiets where done a few copies had the date stamped on the majority of the counterfiets did,nt .. That I do know
