Blimey heard last nite at the Greatstone from Chris Churm that they knocked the legendary venue down yesterday gggrrrrrrrrr What a place to find rare 45,s at next to nothin Houston Outlaws--Aint no tellin 50p off Mr Churm he he.. Brand New Faces £20 yes !!! Purple Mundi ,Rufus Lumley Stateside demo, ect ect ect all for next to nothing, without doubt the Thursday nite soul venue run by Tommy Smith of Beatin Rythm fame was a top venue in its day i use to love guesting there because it was a venue similar to the Wilton / Greatstone that allowed you to play 45,s that you rarely got chance to play at other venues great venue, great people, made many new friends there and the beer if i was,nt driving god how my head use to hurt the mornin after it was a good job i worked nites The Birch r.i.p...Thanks for the Memories..Ian C

Great memories of Bank Hall i,m sure Cliff Camfield will come on and remind me of when him and Stu Bennett bought Pat Allans collection with all the rare 45,s for next to nothing Great story of when Lew Kirton was on Harry Dennett went to his dressing room with my ex Joan and Harry,s ex Dylis to get Lews autograph Harry said to Lew every mornin i wake up look in the mirror and say i wish i had been born black , Lew replied wow thats strange every mornin i look in the mirror and think god i wish i had been born white, after that Harry & Lew became good friends Lew even stoppin in Harrys council house in Runcorn which opened Lews eyes more than once he he...........

My god i cant believe it Linda is one of my oldest buddy,s from the days of VA VA,s ect ect there will be a lot of sad faces around the Leigh / Bolton area when people find out this sad sad news.. All her family, Mark and close friends have my deepest sympathy and prayers.. Ian Cunliffe

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi John when Kev Barrett first came living here from Canada in the late 80,s he brought with him around 30,000 45,s from the radio station WSAY among that lot where several copies of the Houston Outlaws and if my memory serves me right they where copies that had the made in Canada info on Kev was talking to Eric Mercury who is Canadian and Eric told him Lonely Girl was recorded in Canada and leased out to the Sacville Studio he also said he thought it had been demo.d in Canada on a small indi label Clip or Click i think it was..
