  3. Brilliant ..Back in the early to mid 70s there was teriffic places to source rare soul 45s Global. Hime & Addison.Ralphs.ect in Manchester Brian 45 Phiĺips..Bostocks Martin Koppel .Bradford but John A was always the man ya looked too to find that rare 45 you where looking for..These 45s at the time where less than 10 yrs old and if you knew what you where doing like John A did they where easily to obtain Stateside Oh in hindsite if only if only LOL Nice fellas like John put hell of a lot of time money and hard work into the spreading of Soul Music here in first the UK then around Europe ect without icons like JA and Co would the Rare Soul Scene ever have got to the Legendary Scene it is today food for thought in my.opinion we owe hell of a lot to people like John A Martin Kopp Simon Soussan Ian Levine Richard Searling ect
  4. I love Johns write up,s brilliant sales talk puts in a lot of research I bet...But Billy Thompson Black eyed girl where only a handful are known.LOL he's gone well overboard with that statement I've had at least thirty copies since I got my first one in 1971 from John Dalton St Manchester where there was a rack full in the basement.....

  10. There are Pete the ones from Jack Ashfords the one I sold to Paul couple years ago that copy didn't come from the ones John had I know the history of it are just a couple if examples .. £12000 is mega money to normal people but to some it's like me or you Pete paying £50 for a record
  11. Underground scene ???? It's not been underground since mid 70s personally I can't for the life of me see why some folk are moaning about films, adverts T Shirts ect ect ect Differant Strokes for Differant Folks what's one mans poison is another persons medicen you know the old warcry of the soul crowd don't Keep the Faith ...Spread it.... Isn't that what's happening thro films adverts on TV ect ect I've seen a big upsurge of young people getting into the music over the last 10 years why's that.... It's because the music is great the social side is great I've been on what's termed the Northern scene since the late 60s I don't give a flying pigs lug about the medias current love of promoting their products with soul music in fact it's great they acknowledge this wonderful music Shredded Wheat me n Ian Botham love em LOL
  12. Had five copies of it over the past25 years the highest prices got for one was £1000 Off Rob Thomas in the 90s I believe he bought it for someone else prob Steve Chadwick. Last copy I sold was £750 few years ago

  19. Way off the mark with Stanky Gordon / Phil it was being played all over the place way before Fred played it at Burnley it was being bashed to death at venues like Lowton , Middleton Niter and several more Northwest venues that I'm 100% certain...
  20. Few years ago i was DJ.in at a wedding with Phil Threfall in Wigan we where spinnin good oldies from the later years of Wigan Cas Moses Dillard Paris Ray Agee ect ect i heard severalof the Wigan young. Soulies slaggin us off sayin we where crap i laughed it off over the past few months ive seen a couple of the lads who are now dj.in themselves and many of the 45s we played that hour are on their wants lists..I think its great that these young dj.s are progressing their musical tastes with stuff away from the great classics that built the northern scene into what it is today its down to the older blokes like Ted Massey Carl n Maria Willingham Ginger Taylor Nige Brown ect ect who do the bigger venues and are.nt afraid to spin the more rarer tunes if soulies dont hear em they wont know em..
  21. Take all the Dj,s and spouses outa the current UK soul scene and you would be left once again with a underground scene like back in the day..Everywhere I go to there are bloody DJs everywhere 100s of the critters there breeding like mad it's like the soul scene has been taken over by those who live amongst us trying to blend in with human kind I bet that George Clinton bugger has something to do with it LOL Invaders...The Best is Yet to Come ...now there's a record ya don't hear out much.... Merry Christmas & All the Best for 2015 Love, Peace & Happiness
