Brilliant niter DJ,d there a number of times and always enjoyed it never forget Pete Lawson dancing on the floor with that old hoover and was there one nite with Cliff Camfield and Stuart Bennett , Stu got a bit pissed off waiting to be served at the bar and the bloke behin the bar went down into the cellar the door was in front of the bar when he went down Stuart slid the bolt across the door and pressed down the lock then put a table and chair in front of the cellar door It was ages before he was finally released he was traumatised at best :D Going home early one morning with Dean Mitchell we where hungry and stopped at the local garage for a butty they only had a egg mayo left and Dean snaffled it i had a mars bar big mistake from Dean he got food poisonin

When i where a lad you could leave your front door wide open on the terraced street i lived in , all us young uns use to ask the owd people if they wanted any shoppin doin or any errands doin, i remember Mr Middlehurst getting a Zodiac car and all the kids for miles coming to look at it How times have changed Whats this got to do with the weekender NOWT :D . Great 45 ive not got enough fingers n toes to count the number of copies i got in the 90,s, sold Mick H a copy at the Dome , the Wonderful Mrs Molloy , the legendary Dave Trusscott , sold quiet a few at Lowton Civic and the Ritz allniters had a good source in Detroit which Dave Skeen and Kev Barrett found on a trip stateside , Rob use to play it same time has George Jay which he had covered ...

I go way back with Jebby back in the days when he was King in the early 70,s when there where only a few DJ,S on the scene he was the best along with Alan Day the lad use to get the dancefloor smokin with his tunes top dj and bloke I know he,s not been well for years and send him my very best wishes and thanks mate for all those good times back in the day All the money in the World could,nt buy days like we had back in the early 70,s .... When I wer a lad I lived back to back wi Clive Powell ( Georgie Fame ) Then we moved to Gamble St in Leigh facing our house was a textile mill, top of the street was a Iron Foundry behind our house was the goods yard full of steam trains and wagons and that was one of the posh area,s lol Derek Pearson when he was a lad I was a owd mon lol
  23. Started going to Do,s playing Soul music in 1969-70 never stopped. But for Soul Music i would never have met so many people and become great friends with many of them its a way of life. Best of all is meeting up with many of those wonderful artist over the years who,s music put me on this path of life. Wonderful human beings each and every one of them.
