  1. Anyone know if Edward Hamilton, baby don't you weep was ever repressed as a lookalike copy on Mary Jane. I have one that looks 'too new' to be an original. Can't find anything in J.M's books about it so any help from the experts appreciated, thanks. Sue. OZ.
  2. Nice to see your still putting your twopenneth worth in Barry. I love your posts mate, keep em comin'. Tony T BONE. OZ. K.T.F.
  3. Best person to ask surely would be Russ Winstanley. He will know where the original decks ended up cos they were'nt destroyed in the fire. No thoughts about conning the insurance company in them day's. I would like to know where they are, wonder if they still work !!!! C'mon Russ give us a clue mate.
  4. Yep great tune, still got it in my box. How come it does'nt get played today?? I remember Tom Jones, it's not unusual getting a spin at Wigan. Would swear it was a black singer if you did'nt know any different and those horns !! Spun it at our soul night recently and it filled the floor. Oh well we do things a bit different down under. Stay soulful guy's. Tony T BONE. OZ. Spreading The Faith Down Under.

Marvin Gaye, come get to this, on Tamla 882 and Chuck Cornish, a tribute to Muhammed Ali, on white cliffs. Best condition possible please on all. P.M. me with your best price including postage to OZ. 16. O.K. GUY'S I HAVE NOW CONFIRMED WITH THE PROMOTERS THAT THE ALLDAYER WILL NOT BE GOING AHEAD SO LET'S PUT THIS THREAD TO BED. THANKS FOR ALL THE REPLIES, GOOD, BAD OR IN DIFFERENT. Stay soulful. Tony T BONE. OZ. K.T.F.
  17. Aussie humour mate ?? Second to none. I'm originally a Derby lad, remember seeing old Nobby at the Baseball Ground many times, great player. Is he still alive bless him ?? How are Derby doing nowaday's?? Should really get foxtel then i could keep up with it all eh ? Anyway mate stay soulful and no hard feelings as my Son is a Man U fan, he still lives in St. Ives in the U.K. Still looking forward to our trip despite there being no Palais reunion. Tony T bone. OZ. K.T.F.
  18. Hiya Dave, spose by the look of the photo you use ( Nobby Stiles i presume ) you are Man Utd fan?? Oh well !! what was the score last week ??? Liverpool 4 ????????????? Lets keep the humour light even in view of whats happened re this thread. Tony E. OZ.
  19. LOOK GUY'S SORRY BUT I STARTED THIS THREAD TO FIND OUT WHETHER THERE ARE ENOUGH GENUINE SOULIES WHO WANT THE EVENT TO GO AHEAD, NOT TO START ALL THE ARGUMENTS ABOUT WHO'S RIGHT AND WHO'S WRONG. WHAT'S GONE IS GONE, WE CAN'T CHANGE THAT ANY MORE THAN TRACY AND ANDY CAN SO LET'S JUST FIND OUT HOW MANY FOLK WANT IT, THEN THE ORGANISERS MIGHT HAVE A CHANCE AT RESCUING IT FOR THE SAKE OF THE SCENE. AFTER ALL, WE ARE ALL SOUL BROTHERS AND SISTERS ARE WE NOT ??? I HAVE FLIGHTS BOOKED AND PAID FOR FROM AUSTRALIA FOR MYSELF AND MY WIFE, AS I WAS ASKED TO GUEST DEEJAY ON THE DAY. AM I ASKING FOR A REFUND ? NO. LET'S JUST GET THE SHOW ON THE ROAD. I WILL EMAIL THE ORGANISERS WITH A PLEA TO CARRY THE EVENT THROUGH. Thanks for the response, Tony T BONE. OZ. K.T.F. Forever !!
  20. Hiya Rob and Karen. agree with everything you say, the thing is the venue has been booked, it's been advertised for at least the last 6 months, the tickets are sitting there albeit with the artists name on them so whats stopping someone with the balls, stepping in and running it. I feel the main problem was the possible lack of the full deposit for the venue. Not really the organisers fault, just that the timing was'nt quite right. Don't you think there has been enough interest in the dayer, inspite of who was organising it ?? I reckon there are at least 800 true soulies out there that would attend it. Just over 3 weeks to go yes, so lets see how many positive replies we get to this thread. I don't know what the cost is to hire the Oceana but surely 800 at 10 pounds each would cover it, plus they get the bar takings as well. Common sense ??????????? Be interested in your further thoughts, i for one was really looking forward to it even before i knew they were planning to get live acts. Stay soulful, Tony T BONE. OZ.
  21. Crikey Barry, you up already mate. It's lunchtime over here. Keep up the threads, luv em " Tony T BONE. OZ. K.T.F.
  22. Yep i'm atill looking for a nice copy of this on white cliffs. 50 pounds waiting for the right one. Anyone ?? Thanks, Sue, OZ.
  23. Thing is Dawn i went to most of the Palais alldayers in the 70's when it was ' THE ' best alldayer venue of that era so when i was asked to guest deejay at the reunion there was no hesitation in saying a big YES and booking my flights and accomodation. I'm originally a Derby lad so stand by my word, i'm also a true soulie through and through. I'm still coming over as i have other guest spots offered to me BUT i still want the Palais reunion to go ahead. I run soul nights over here so i know how hard it is to promote and IF ONLY i lived a bit closer would have no hesitation in offering to help Tracy and Andy with their big day. Anyway everything is crossed in hope someone sees some bloody sense. C'MON !!!! Tony T BONE. OZ.
