  1. Well said Webby. Can't understand all the negative things said on this thread as just about everyone would have quite happy to dance to it in the 70's. So WHY has it taken over 30 years to decide it ain't northern. No-one ever said it was in 74, we all just bloody loved shuffling to it. Anyone remember dancing to it downstairs at the Notts Palais alldayers. Anyway who really gives a toss what genre it fits into, it's 2009 and we should all just know better. ANORAKS anyone !!!! I'm half expecting to get bitten... OUCH !!!!!! Tony T BONE. OZ.
  2. Crikey Johnny what side of the bed did you get out of this morning or did you fall from the top bunk straight onto your swede?? Betcha by golly wow !!!

  5. This may not be the correct way of spelling Jeff's name but i was talking with an old mate of his the other day who was in the army with him in the late 70's, and went to the Casino with him. His name is Tony Taylor who now lives here in Perth, Western Australia. He would really like to catch up with him but has no idea whether or not he is back on the soul scene in the u.k. If he ain't then he bloody well should be so if anyone remembers the bloke, please get in touch. Thanks guy's. Tony E. OZ. K.T.F.
  6. I think it's called ' LOOKING OUTSIDE THE SQUARE YOU LIVE IN '. Some folk just can't do it unfortunately for them. We welcome the younger crowd here in Perth and most of them say what we want them to say ' THIS IS REAL MUSIC ' Let's face it, all this duff duff shite will die a sad death whereas Northern WILL live on. So the wannabee singer that paid his or her 50 dollars to have a record cut 40 years ago and got nowhere can be assured that the likes of the modern day miming crappy money hungry artists will be long forgotten along with every other faker that think they can sing. Just my twopenneth worth. Tony T BONE. OZ. Spreading the FAITH down under.
  7. Can anyone help with locating Jeff Read originally from Manchester. Is he still on the scene? Went to the Casino and then joined the army. Contact email or p m please if you know of him. Thanks, Tony T BONE. OZ. K.T.F.

  12. Just wondering if this record ever gets played out at any U.K. events. Have spun it here and it seems to go down well. Probably not his best but certainly up there imo. Just curious. Stay soulful. Tony T BONE. OZ. K.T.F.

  15. Don't you mean Gary Spencer, also known as Spenna. Yep he had a great collection, all the big names but i think now all sold. He's really into his fishing nowaday's. Used to be a chef, then a director or a steel company. Good luck to him. Tony T BONE OZ.
  16. Here goes, sold my copy of Billy Hines knowing there were only 2 known at the time ( 1977 ) for a mere 60 quid. Had to pay 900 to get it back last year after it ended up in the U.S.A. Now thats what you call a wood duck lol. No worries though as there are still only 3 known copies and it's a brilliant tune. And NO, NO, NO it ain't for sale. Tony T BONE. OZ. K.T.F.
  17. Thanks for that Shaun, might be the best option i think. Tony T BONE. OZ. K.T.F.
  18. Could anyone please help out with a really nice copy of this ? One just sold for 75 U.K. pounds, so am willing to pay that plus postage to OZ for one in at least vg+ condition. Not worried if you have'nt got the original picture sleeve. PM me with details, thanks. Tony.
  19. Yep i could do Den, but would rather have the Columbia demo. Not in a hurry so prepared to wait for one. Also would'nt mind ' a little on the blue side ' at some stage. I'm hoping for a favourable reply once everyone gets home from work and logs on to ss. We are 7 hours in front of you here in OZ so i may get some response after i'm tucked up in me bed. Stay soulful mate. Tony.
