Here we have a truly beautiful unmarked copy of this Notts Palais classic dancer. I have only ever played it once since i heard it and bought it in 1974 at the Palais. You will not find a better one ANYWHERE. All i am asking is 120 pounds including paypal and normal airmail postage anywhere. Anyone seen this brilliant film about the Chess record label. It's got Beyonce as Etta James and features tunes by her and others like Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf and Little Walter. I saw it last night and thought how well it was made. That Beyonce sure has some talent other than singing. Wonder if she knows anything about the history of our scene. Hiya Malc, sounds very familiar to a situation some 28 years ago in Lancashire does'nt it?? Apparently the site was gonna be used for an old folks home and i did'nt know until now that it had'nt been built. Anyway mate i can remember some fantastic times on the Pier, dancing to the Commodores, the zoo. Bloody thing used to rock on its stantions to that record. How it never collapsed into the North sea is beyond me. Anyway i'm back in the U.K soon for the Skeggy weeknder and might just take a ride over to Clegg to show the missus where all the fuss was created. Any idea what Mary Chapman is doing now ??
