  1. Hiya Guy's, Could anyone please help me out with a really nice original on the cool 5001 label. Condition is important. Manship values it at 100 pounds. Please p.m. me with condition and a price shipped registered to OZ. Thanks for taking the time to look, Sue. OZ.

  3. Hi Guy's, Could anyone please help with a really nice copy of this ?? I think the A side is actually candle ( in the window ). Best condition is important. It's not a rare or expensive 45 compared to some of his other stuff so if you have one please pm me with condition and price to OZ. Thanks in advance, Sue. OZ. K.T.F.
  4. Same here Paul, we have a really great mix of soulful tunes ( call it across the board ) played at our monthly gig at the Flybynight Club here in Fremantle, Western Australia, yep 12000 miles away from where it all started. We have adapted to the wants of the punters and they are anything from about 21 to 60 years old. We found that playing some of the more modern stuff like Neo etc kept the young ones coming back for more and now they DO like the more ' Northern ' sounding stuff as well. Yes we had to teach them the 'Soul Etiquette ' ie no drinks on the dancefloor, no handbags etc and defo no acting pratts and getting in the way of the other dancers. They respected that so we have no bother whatsoever with youger folk getting into this great scene of ours. Tell you what Paul it's brilliant to stand at the door at the end of every night and get thanked by the young un's for a great night and, to be told ' we love this ' REAL ' music is a bonus we must embrace. If you treat the 'newies' with the respect they deserve, teach them the right way then they will keep coming back to continue the scene on into the next millenium. They are the deejay's of the future. No way can we keep it to ourselves anymore. Every one of us got into the scene for their own reasons. Mine was cos i found it all really exciting in 1973 and still have the same fire and passion for it now. More people need to take their blinkers off and see what's got to happen. People WILL vote with their feet and i'm defo not complaining about the numbers at our event. To see over 200 eager beavers every month cramming the dancefloor with smiles on their faces gives us such a buzz. Long may it continue. ATB Tony, OZ. Spreading the Faith Down Under.
  5. CORTEZ GREER, WHAT A FANTASTIC RECORD. SOMEONE SNAP THIS UP, IT'S GONNA GO BIG AGAIN.
  6. Yes i reckon they mean 49 dollars, daft sods must think we are stupid. Other than that they can shove it. I will wait for one on s.s. at the CORRECT PRICE which is about 40 pounds. Sue.
  7. Hi guy's, I am still looking for the Billy Bass 45. Prefer it on Philly Groove but will take the U.K. Pama as long as it's near mint. If you have this for sale please p. m. me with condition and price. Thanks in advance, Sue. OZ.
  8. Yep Loakes are a quality shoe, only problem is they weigh a bloody ton. Wore mine once and sold em on ebay. Got a pair of Sanders now and they are like dancing in slippers there that comfy, and light too. ATB Tony, OZ.
  9. Hiya everyone, I am looking for a really, really nice copy of this if anyone can help. It's not particularly rare or expensive so someone should haveit in their box. Please pm me with condition and price. Thanks, Sue.
  10. Probably a good idea to have 'POLITELY ' asked them face to face on the night Dave. You know the old saying ' once the horse has bolted ' I think the gate is now shut and all that will come out of this is one giant can of horrible worms and yet more bickering which we certainly do not want. Good luck with your 'investigation ' anyway. ATB Tony, OZ. Spreading the Faith on the other side of the world.
  11. Don't you have THURSDAY in your book ?? Sounds like your on yer own then lol.
  12. Yep good ole' brogues were my choice. Sadly most of the manufacturers that were in the Northampton area of the U.K. have now disappeared. There are just a couple left, one of which is Sanders. Now they do a soft brogue that is truly wonderful to dance in and literally feels like gloves on the feet with a padded instep to avoid the aching feeling after a night of serious dancing. Probably the nearest thing to the sort we wore over 30 years ago. Leather sole, short heel and light as a feather. If anyone wants to get a pair ( as i did while in the U.K. last year ) you can get them from a little shop tucked away in Wansford, just off the A1 near Stamford. The shop is called ( approprately ) ' OLD TIME SHOES '. I paid 45 pounds for them and they WILL last a lifetime, i can guarantee that. Remember the name..... SANDERS. Bloody brilliant shoes. Where from ?? Old Time Shoes, Wansford, Lincs, U.K. ATB Tony, OZ.
  13. Watched this dvd again last night. The short film with the dance competition alway's has me in stitches especially the scene wher they are taking bets on the dancers and the punter asks for an each way bet, to be met with ' how can you have an each way bet with only 3 competitors, YA ' TOSSER '. Classic. Anyway i was wondering who the dancers were, are they guy's that are in the scene back in the U.K. I know Steve Cato is still active within the soul scene but what about the other 2. James Cartwright AKA ' Scouse ' Tony Callow, and Robert Tannion AKA Jake Bancroft. This guy certainly had the right moves and there seemed to be a couple of good dancers in the extras. Be keen to know where they are now if anyone knows. C'mon Paul S you should have the answer to this. Great film btw. Stay soulful, Tony OZ.

  21. Was wondering if this great tune was ever released on vinyl. I have it on a c.d. and have put it in the wants section, buy to no avail. Any info would be appreciated, Thanks, Sue. OZ.
  22. Anyone please help out with this Supremes track. I have it on a c.d. but would like it on 45 or album if it is available on vinyl. P.M. me with condition and price. Many thanks, Sue. OZ.
  23. EXACTLY !!! It's nice to have a choice but c'mon, to be spoilt by the sheer volume of choices in the U.K. can only result in a lot of the venues disappearing up their own backsides. We can all go out for burgers every weekend but a bit of steak every now and again is nice.' Cashing in ' seems to be the order of the day. Let's hope Ady can keep it all going, he deserves it. After all HE has been around the longest, well the 100 club has. Tony T Bone. Spreading the Faith down under.
  24. So, whens it coming out and who will be the distributor ?? Cheers, Tony. OZ.
  25. Hi guy's, am looking for a nice original copy of this please. Just missed one on here last night. P.M. me with condition and price. ATB Sue.
