  1. Icemen was an absolute bargain at only 360. I know there is a bit of a caution at the moment, with the ebay seller from Alabama turning up a few copies. How many, I don't know. But, even if it turns out to be 50 copies, for me, that still makes the record worth 500 to 600 at the end of the day. It's still rarer than some records you see around that price. And for someone in the UK to get one of those on ebay, it will cost an extra £100 in customs charges.
  2. £900 is quite a good price considering the label damage. That must have knocked quite a bit off it. Anyway, I would rate it at about 900 without label damage.

  8. Quite low winning bids on some of these. Ernest Mosley in particular. Knackered copies go for 300 to 400. Nice Syl Johnson issue as well.
  9. I've never had a problem. Always get plenty up dancing. But, I've never played it at an out and out oldies night. Just the venues where the punters like a good mix of tunes.
  10. It was only vg+ and crackled a lot, so should only be about half of going rate for a nice copy. Gloria Jones did really well. 200 over the odds.
  11. Don't know too much about the Del Larks. But Patti & the Emblems, would have thought about £250. Velvet Hammer I thought was worth about £80. Soul Shakers about £100. I must be behind the times.
  12. As early as that. Was it as popular back than as it became in the late 70s,
  13. Funny you should say that. I was going to put in brackets, could be earlier on the CC, but forgot. The first time I could have heard it would be late 77, but was probably played before that.

  19. You're right. Forgot about the MVP's. I personally would say that it doesn't devalue a record and isn't really worth mentioning when selling. After all, its been there for 40 plus years. But, was just checking really for if I sell something on here. Obviously, It's not an issue if you're selling at a venue as the record can be seen.
  20. Just on the subject of cracked records. I have bought near mint records in the past and on arrival they have a styrene pressure fault, with the line showing on both sides of the record. It's quite common in styrene and hasn't been pointed out before buying the record. I've never regarded these faults as a crack as most people don't. But you do get the minority of people that do. So, my question is, does a styrene pressure fault reduce the value of a record.
  21. I have the following - Village Sounds - these windows (onyx) Ex+ £100 Please pom me if interested. Thanks Carl
  22. SOME PRICE REDUCTIONS
  23. I think the fact that the Lou Ragland was a minter helped it along by an extra 500 . Don't see any in that condition. The Brown Bombers went really cheap though. That record just hasn't had enough dj exposure in recent times. Demures was also a bargain for the stock copy.
