The art of the handclap is sadly declining and there are only a few of us left that carry it on. Sadly Panch from Bedford loves to clap out of time, as Winston will testify, to put everyone off so a slap around the head if he does it when you are in the venue! I encourage clapping at every venue I attend, and at the Plinston it's a joy to behold a full house clapping like thunder to records. Have seen the book and having flicked through it quickly have made 2 observations: 1) Pricing seems OK 2) It is not the most complete listing of Rare Soul as there are some notable 45's left out. That is all

Cover-up's a part of the scene (and many others like the Hip-Hop scene) and to my mind should remain. They are a good laff, frustrating and so on and I understand the point re: unissued acetates being covered up as being a bit pointless if there is only the one copy. However, it is also as a means to prolong the life of that 45 by making it harder to locate copies and therefore keeping it 'fresh' for longer. Lokk at other records in the past that were covered up and then when quantity were discovered etc became played out. Besides I can still remember some of the amusing titles and labels that keb amongst others gave them Made me giggle! That's all as I have to get back to 'Sponge Bob Squarepants' with my kids, sorry if it all reads a bit rushed...and just for you Mike
