SORTED SORTED SORTED WELL, it's been fun, a challenge, an education, and all in less than 24 hours. You lot are terrific, not patronising B.S. , I sort of mean it. The energy and can-do [ sometimes....' nah that's not the right search, you should be looking for this instead.... ' ] is really energising. But for people who don't know you / us they might find it a bit intimidating - just something to dwell on maybe?? Well my recollection is it's just a wee bit longer, maybe building to a crescendo more, or even a bit more of that fabulously disinterested telephone exchange operator going 'I'm sorry sir - I can't do that ' . Someone on here will have chapter and verse - and whether I'm right or not. But this is the old style 12' with [ maybe ] just an extra wee bit ; not the magical but extremely lengthy morales / moulton type thingies that came along later taking 3 mins up to 9 mins +. And I'm a big fan of those too; don't let me be misunderstood [ as Eric would say ].

Teeny bit off thread maybe, but I've always had a spot in my heart for this tune, and always will it was the first ever 12' single I ever had my hands on, got it off Steve Sales [ 'Siz ' ], another good Stretford lad. Thought it was a wonderful exciting gimmick [ 12' singles ], but that they were hardly ever likely to catch on ! The extended version spot on ! pete

was being driven home by the mrs. listening to radio 2 last night, driving home from a cracking little soul nite at the Hobby Horse in Minehead, and Hughie played the Tom Moulton. remix of ' when the game is played on you '......and it sounded like all 8 / 9 [ ? ] minutes of it.
