  1. ...and both sides are covers of JB songs. That's The Spirit is Ain't That A Groove while Try Me Father is Try Me.
  2. I'm looking for a copy of this if anyone has one for sale or trade...

  4. Anyone with a copy to sell? Thanks...
  5. Thanks for the replies so far. I'm really just trying to get a copy of that record - or any other record - on Island with that label design...
  6. A few years ago I saw a scan of The Caribs Taboo on this unusual Island label Is it a US pressing? I've never seen another but would love to get a copy of it or another record with the same great label design. Anybody got any info? Thanks...
  7. Thanks Steve - that was my first thought, but they're on holiday right now. I tried Transitition (who've cut acetates for me before) but they said they can't do it. I'll try Werner after he gets back. In the meantime......?
  8. I picked up a pair of metal stampers for a 7" 45 - does anyone know a place to get a record pressed off them? I don't want to press any more than two or three copies, just for personal listening. I guess if I could just get the 2 songs transferred from the stampers then I could simply take the transfers to VinylCarvers or get an acetate cut. But who can dub from metalwork? Any ideas? Thanks a lot...
  9. Or Phil Lowman on Palos? Label says From the LP "Rock Me Til' I Want No More".

  11. Popsike seems to be OK now...
  12. Get A Hold Of Yourself was written by Ray and Elaine Adams. They also wrote The Sun Is Coming In with Valerie Avon - all three were members of the pop/MOR group The Avons. You could contact Elaine through her booking agency (link here) to see if she can give you any more information. If the Dick Charles recording was a demo, then why does it have (what looks like) a matrix number? From my experience, that's unusual.
  13. Dave, I'm virtually certain that the ® refers to the registration of the trademark/logo. Sometimes the © symbol was used, and often with the date of registration. Mar-V-Lus (1963) and Jewel (1965) are two examples that spring to mind.
