Lin, Others were very sad ,I'll never forget the night we lost TC ..the poignancy of Lens wonderful tribute remains with me physically and in my heart ..how I got through reading it that night ,I'll never know , you could have heard a pin drop in that room on that night , Barbara's beautiful face hurting like hell and bursting with pride all at the same time ,I've never felt so much love and I know implicitly he was there ..so tragic a waste ..and to this day I still can't listen to "I've Had it" without breaking my heart I have your Lea Manor 'live' tribute to TC on MP3, I recorded it on the night, it is very emotional and after all these years I have never played it until today! I always ended my DJ spots with George Smith but after Tony's death I never played it again (home or out) and when I sold all my US 45's (2003 ish) the only one I kept was George Smith because of memories of my old buddy TC. I can post the Mp3 or I can email it direct to you. It's your shout. Best, Now weepy Spook (David Richards)

  3. Hi all, I do not know much about the Sounds South Logo. Every copy of the this Tams 45 I have seen has been yellow (there are two currently on E**y from seller 'JeffWaller', I think he has a box full as he is selling them off slowly) see below. Anyway I have managed to pick up a Red copy (see below) can anybody shed any light on either? All I know is it was released for the beach scene in 1978 and it has a 'disco version' of Hey Girl on the B side. If anybody is interested in hearing it I can put it into Refosoul or attach an MP3. TIA Spook
  4. I've Changed my Display name from Turntable now, so maybe that will help some of you. Below should be some photos of the Central i.e Top of The Stairs (TOS) Circa 1989. Luckily I'm not in them cos I took them They are: Martin Bradley (currently USOS) with Mr Edwin Starr and partner (can't remember if they were married) Janice getting "I Have Faith in You" signed by Edwin Bob Turner and Edwin Starr with the signed shirt Edwin handing the shirt to the winner with "Morris James" (originator TOS) in the background with the microphone. 9. In my option, Hissing at the start usually indicates needle burn. Which happens when DJ's wind back and forward the 45 to cue up the start. The damage is done if the tracking or weight on the Cartridge / Arm is wrong. That is why a lot of DJ's don't cue up records to save damage on decks they do not know, and usually talk over the gap at the start, or you get silence. I stopped cueing up after I damaged a Bobby Hutton Come See About me. So If your Blue issue hisses it was mine years ago. Best David
