Yes Tiv, It was in Bell Street and it had two entrances, one in Bell St and I don't know the name of the other street. Only one problem I can remember is they used to put for sale 45's in the window (some got very faded). Then in the early 70's ADC ( Addison Dean & Cox) Solid Gold / Cloud 9 opened a record shop around the corner in Tan Bank. I can remember buying Love on A Mountain Top (rising sons) and the Right Track (Okeh) from there. Last time I was in Wellington it was a shop selling light fittings (about 5 years ago)!! Best Spook

Hi , According to the JM Bible it was also pressed in styrene in 1965 (ATCO reissue 95372 scratched) original 58721. If the dead wax on yours reads 65L it's deff not an original as it should be 65C. Best David

Hi M12 OKEH, I think we (Moz, Nigel Bown & Myself) had only about 6 or 7 nights at the Wayfarer, It was just to test the water like the couple we did in Stafford and Keys Park, It was during the period where the AQUA (Cannock) was a last Friday of the month event. I am pretty useless at names but I can recall faces & record labels quite well, so if we have met before 'hello again'. Yep my current car is an 'S' Roadster and I actually live In Loggerheads I put "just outside Eccleshall" as I made an assumption that people from Telford would know that that was. Best David

Bobby Hutton All Sorted Thanks

Hi, I only lived in Telford for 6 years between 1997 and 2003 but I worked there for 37 years and my wife Janice (born in Telford) were regular attendees at Ian and Annes Shifnal Soul Night and at John's (Esher) 86 club. In the early 70's I occasionally ventured to the 7 Stars (Ketly), Terry Heaths and there was a pub somewhere in Wellington but I cannot remember its name (getting on a bit now), buying the odd US 45 from ADC in Tan bank (?). I was resident DJ (not very good) with Wit (we also supplied decks & PA for a long time) at the 86 Club at both Bridgenorth (sweatbox) and the Naughty Will. I also Dj'd for Ian at Shifnal, unfortunately I only have the two fliers (attached) left for the 86 Club, somewhere I have a Shifnal flyer but cannot put my hands on it at the moment. I used to attend Shifnal with Janice, Wit and his then wife Beverly (whitchurch), Tony Haftwoyac (TC) and his wife Barbara (Telford) and first meet Nigel Brown (Stafford) and Andy Peake (Wolverhampton) down there. I know Phil & Joy used to attend both venues, I met them earlier at the Raven (Prees Heath) 1st time round when Soul Sam was DJ'ing a on Friday Night (all evening) for Tony Petherbridge !!!, Derm, Jackie & Karen (Wolverhampton) recently met them at Lea Hall , I know a lot of faces but names always elude me. I currently live just outside Eccleshall and hope to see you around, if you know me just say hello. Best David

Lin, Others were very sad ,I'll never forget the night we lost TC ..the poignancy of Lens wonderful tribute remains with me physically and in my heart ..how I got through reading it that night ,I'll never know , you could have heard a pin drop in that room on that night , Barbara's beautiful face hurting like hell and bursting with pride all at the same time ,I've never felt so much love and I know implicitly he was there ..so tragic a waste ..and to this day I still can't listen to "I've Had it" without breaking my heart I have your Lea Manor 'live' tribute to TC on MP3, I recorded it on the night, it is very emotional and after all these years I have never played it until today! I always ended my DJ spots with George Smith but after Tony's death I never played it again (home or out) and when I sold all my US 45's (2003 ish) the only one I kept was George Smith because of memories of my old buddy TC. I can post the Mp3 or I can email it direct to you. It's your shout. Best, Now weepy Spook (David Richards)
