The "old" George Smith was a yellow issue but had a small piece of the label missing and label wear , the current stocker for sale looks nearly mint and I can't find a Significants. Spook

I "won" a 45 from this well known dealer for $206 a couple of weeks ago, the mystery bidder had also bid eight times on this 45 but stopped at $115 !! I must have paid to much If you look at the 45's the mystery bidder has won, I have checked out a couple they don't seem to have resurfaced on ebay again yet. George Smith, Significants, Linda lloyd & Deadbeats to name four and they all have marks on the labels which you can easily see. Careful and keep em peeled Spook

Main memory of going there was 9 of us in Ford Anglia ' 7 Ladies' including Deruth Bonnel (Del) from Hodnet (moved to Crewe/ Belgium) and Anita Stolz (Market Drayton / Crewe) Also used to go to Sams Friday nights at the Raven (Beefeater) and in later years Tiffs Newcastle (downstairs Sunday Nights). Happy Days ! I seem to recall going downstairs and 'Landslide' is always a tune that reminds me of there. It was one of the few places I could buy the OOTP 45's along with the record shop in the arcade which was basically down past the side of the Top Rank / old Radio Stoke opposite where Cartlidge curtains used to be (can't remember the name). Remember Keith Minshall having a record shop in Hanley , I think it is where the main entrance to the Potteries Shopping Centre is opposite the Britannia Building society. david

Hi, On my mac I use 'Audacity' and 'Linein' both free software. I also use : item 1. Qty 1 3.5 mm male to two 3.5 mm female sockets (Y cable) item 2 .Qty 1 3.5 mm male to male cable. Connect the mac audio output socket to the male of the Y cable (connecting a male plug to the mac audio output disconnects the internal speakers) then i connect a pair of external powered speakers to one female socket on the Y cable. Then connect the other female connector on the Y cable to the mac audio input socket using item 2 above (therefore looping the audio output back into the audio input) Then using audacity and Line in you can listen to the broadcast and also record it in wav.file . If you want to convert to MP3 you have to pay for that facility. I use Itunes to convert from wav to mp3 / 4a. Hope this helps When I want to record vinyl i just disconnect the Y connection end of item 2 and plug it into my mixer output, therefore mixer output direct to mac audio input. Best David
