**SATURDAY NIGHT SPECIAL 8-2AM** Ok, we have a really special event lined up for October. The last Saturday night was amazing, but we think this might top it! First of all, the Guv’nor, Mr ADY CROASDELL, Mr 100 Club himself will be gracing the decks. He needs no introduction, of course, but we’re thrilled to have him back at Brixton. Next, we have ADAM BUCHANAN!! To quote the highly respected Soul Underground website: ‘A great taste in music, Adam knew how to work the floor. Adam DJ’ed at all the big all-nighters of the day and as well as Top Dog Soul Club at Stafford he was resident for the Central England Soul Club at venues such as Nottingham Oddfellows in Leicester.’ What’s missing from this incredible list, of course, is CLEETHORPES WEEKENDER where Adam was always a big fixture. Finally, we have a great dj from Manchester, a big part of the Manchester Soul Weekender and of course runs his own great night, Let’s Dance Some Mo’ - it’s DARREN SYKES. We cannot wait! **SATURDAY NIGHT SPECIAL 8-2AM** Hi everyone, we’re excited to announce the next SATURDAY NIGHT AT THE RITZY! The first one was a huge success, and sold out in advance. If you haven't been before, our SOUL AT THE RITZY nights have been running for about a year and a half in a fantastic club room above the iconic Ritzy Cinema in Brixton. It's easy to get to, has a superb sound system, and the other stand out feature is a wonderful large balcony that overlooks Windrush square. The nights are sociable, and you will hear the best across the board soul sounds on original vinyl only. Whilst the monthly events are on a Thursday, we've started to do a few Saturday night events ('SATURDAY NIGHT AT THE RITZY') which allow us to go on until 2am. This Saturday July 15th we have 3 fabulous guest DJs: Arthur Fenn Irish Greg Tom Page And on top of that we have a live PA from superb Big AC Records soul singer, Carmy Love! Mick was one of the key players behind the era-defining LIFELINE nights, runs the amazing Boat House club in Nottingham and the city’s (in)famous soul weekenders. But more than that, Mick has been buying records since the year dot and has broken more massive soul sounds than you’ve had hot dinners. A massive presence on the scene, expect a HUGE set from a big personality – and we should be extra thrilled because none of us can remember when Mick last played London. (Was it the 100 Club? Capitol Soul???) Not to be missed. JOEL MASLIN – You know Joel, 100 Club resident and general cheeky South London urchin – back again at the Ritzy by popular demand. A regular on the decks all over the country, Joel has superb hard to find tunes – and then will surprise you by reactivating a classic. The dance floor’s always full and we are employing extra security to handle his legions of fans. Expect soul, funk, rhythm and soul/R&B and all points in between. AMANDA SULLIVAN – the first woman (we are told) to play at the 100 Club allnighters back in the 80s (we’re told).
