  1. this sort of thing has always gone on. I remember Shifty ebaying a bunch of boots with copied labels. So what? He stated clearly what they were just like this seller is doing. F*ck it, I'm gonna get a few carvers done. Now,who can recommend a good label scanning service? BTW, I don't really like all this carry on, but you can't really blame this bloke cashing in while there's these arseholes who want to buy this crap. Surely
  2. Nah, it's me. As the wife is fond of telling me "your jokes are just not funny"
  3. Was meant as a bit of a joke really
  4. Firstly, the originals are vinyl. Secondly some of them do don't they?
  5. Thank god only the short ones gonna be on telly!
  6. Gay poppa's cha cha uses another "borrowed" track. Which I can't put my finger on. I'll upload it to YouTube when I get round to it. In the meantime there's a clip here, must say this was a bargain https://www.soulstacks.com/shop/gay-poppa-mercy-babygay-poppas-cha-cha-custom-sound/
  7. Not when they fail to load and cause the page to crash. I can't even see what's being sold so I give up and go look at someone else's sales. I'm obviously not alone on this judging by the "likes" on my original post. anyway I just hope sellers are aware it causes problems for some.
  8. I'd also like to ask them to stop filling their posts with sodding YouTube clips. plays havoc with my crappy iPad.
  9. Maybe there was no last second bidders....bidding in the last seconds is pointless on JM's auctions as we all know cos of his deadline extensions. Just saying like
  10. Could go either way. Remember the Mello Souls hit great heights well before the end and, well those expected last bids from secret millionaires and professional football players never really materialised did they?
  11. Wrong record. They're talking about the other New Wanderers record.
  12. Funny that Russ, it's just gone to someone else. see ya Friday
  13. it's rarer by far. Same recording though.
  14. Paypal good, P+P £2 Cash McCall - I'm in danger- checker M- £25sold Showmen - Take it baby / Paradise BB vg+ £10 (two good sides) Darrow Fletcher - Sitting there that night - Congress M- £5 on hold
  15. Sad news. R.I.P Tony. John & Wendy.
  16. the way everybody's congratulating Johnny boy on book face you'd be forgiven for thinking he discovered the fookin thing
  17. Exactly. Every grapevine release was made for the northern scene which perversely makes them unplayable. But that's the thing, the whole scene was/is built around records not made for it.
  18. Anyone with a Tomangoes acetate
  19. In the sleeve notes to the goldmine CD Stafford story. John Pugh says it was first played off an acetate before a vinyl copy turned up. This seems contradictory to what's been said above. can that be right?
  20. Well Steve, I know we've had this conversation before but from my experience of record collecting this has to be the rarest record I own by a country mile. Mine came straight from the U.S. of A around year 2000 and have never heard of one for sale since. No copies on Popsike. Good luck in your search Phil and as for value? Who knows?
  21. I wonder what happened to him? What with the overthrow of the Beatles not quite going to plan I always found that scrap of newspaper fascinating Ady. Hope ya well mate?
  22. I can't even be bothered to drive there anymore
  23. They play fine. If you're referring to the YouTube clip I stuck up some years ago I deliberately turned volume down briefly cos I can't stand bootlegging and at the time there didn't seem to be any other sound file on the inter web. Other people subsequently "borrowed" my sound clip. Besides, the so called demo's are just issues with a DJ stamp on it. One of the best records I heard over the last decade and I still never tire of hearing
  24. Oh.. Stupid me. I've had both of em as well and never realised
  25. Not the same song surely? I don't rate the Steve Mancha as being anything like a rare record. Preferred "Monday through Thursday" side me self but there must be hundreds of copies out there.
