    I bought a record not long ago,don't think it came to more than $10 it was an LP so shipping was about $14, the seller used the GLOBAL thing and on checkout i was charged everything INCLUDING import/vat or whatever, Surely that shouldnt even been applicable on a 10 buck record? I had to pay,there seemed no way round it. I won't buy off anyone using that service now. I felt robbed.

    Just being picky..it wasn't the Funk Brothers tho was it? pure west coast recording.. Loved it when I first heard it and I'll stand by that. Agreed though,if ever a record's ever been played to death and then some,This is it..yawn.

    Well I have just turned 43 myself and my collecting is slowing right down..as I can see the same future that Pete is describing i'm not gonna keep paying sky high prices, I presume,when you were 35-40,every one else was too. Thats not been the case for me obviously.

    Absolutely bang on Pete, and I know people are pinning their hopes on the foreign markets having em but once the UK scene collapses(which is the focal point of it all) then that'll be the end of it..IMO...Still,like TOAD says,enjoy while it lasts. As for a collection, only have approx 300 or so singles,used to have more but down sized but now own many records I used to only dream of having.Play em a lot. What does 10,000 records look like? I'd view owning that lot as a real liability...A mill stone around my neck

    Wish I still had it Dave, not cos I particularly like it but so I could bung it on ebay and ching ching cash in! Always sounded a bit moddy to me. Maybe cos I first heard it via Rob too. Can we please relegate this record to oldies venues now? Like Stoke

    Its NORTHERN soul,end of...and as we all know northern soul often had little to do with soul music.. I like it,its great played out loud.
