  12. Well, I like it, it's a great early Detroit mid-tempo tune, had some plays at the better venues a few years back (I'm sure I played it at Bretby back in the day ). I think refosoul's back up (well it was working this morning), so I'll try to post it tomorrow.
  13. Different song Chris, the track on the Kapp LP is "They Say I'm Afraid (Of Losing You)". I last saw the Samo 45 for sale @ 75, but not seen very often.
  14. I bought the CD as a new release from CDBaby a while back, and was totally blown away by the quality, particularly with the deep ballad "Why Me" which is worth buying the CD for alone. Have included "Break Out The Tears" in sets ever since, and it always has people to the decks to check the details (with a good few shocked to see that it's a new release, and not on vinyl ). It's great to see quality tracks like this getting recognition and UK vinyl release....these are the tunes we should be talking about.
  15. If anybody feels like turfing this out of their hotbox.....PM me Cash waiting Ta
  16. I've got Shirley Combs, and it's the same backing track as Natural Four, which I also have on Boola-Boola, and ABC....also agree that the flip is much the better side . I'm sure I've posted one or both sides on the Sweet & Deep thread.
  17. Ain't that the truth
  18. That's what I'm talkin' 'bout .......tune.....
  19. I can't stop playing the new Angela Johnson CD, there's a great mix of deeper and mid-tempo tunes, with stand out tracks for me being Wait on A Maybe with Marlon Saunders, and Cryin' Over You with Angus & Lisala Other recent CDs well worth picking up are Blak Ice, Gordon Nelson, and Tina Broussard....
  20. I'd say it's rarer than the Just Brothers on Veep
  21. All prices significantly reduced......some real bargains to be had here
  22. Deffo a soul singer on the Sounds Of Memphis 45 Mark
  23. Sounds right up my street Pete, I'd be interested to see your list
  24. Just dug out Tomorrow's Wish, since I hadn't played it in yonks, and "My Love With You" sounds so close to Tearra, so it's not surprising to now read she may have been in the group line up. Be interested to see the discogoraphy and background info when you find it
