Remember dancing to this at Keele mid 90s when it was first pressed on the Soul Series release, along with the instumental of Ain' Nothing But A Houseparty on the same label.Bought it the same night in the record bar.
Good version better than Slow fizz in my opinion
Not quite right Jordan.I was certainly a lot better off in the 80s (except for one crucial year)than i am now and had a lot more disposable income back then.Times are a lot harder now for most middle aged people as you put it with most of my mates in low paid or part time jobs. Also most of us are subbing our teenagers who cant find work
Think the answer for the younger collector is not to get hooked up buying those standard oldies that have circulated through hundreds of collections for umptean years. They need to look amoung the forgotten treasure trove of Stafford and other 80s plays.Buy a few classic Anthems that suit your style then forge your own identity as a DJ and be an individual.
However its still an expensive game even searching out underplayed stuff but you have got to work at searching for the best deals. There are vast price differences amoung records that amaze me sometimes.
Jesse Davis--Gonna Hang on in there Girl. Always thought this was spoiled by Jesse's Flat to my ears vocal. Much prefere the Instro as released by Kent a couple of years ago

Hi Guys
Driving me mad ,can someone please help me put a name to the tune played in this clip.Andy Cannon dancing to it at Nuneaton.Brill Tune that i should know but havent heard it for years.A hundred mile an hour one that probably only Andy could do justice to these days although the Girl can move as well.
Thanks in Advance Patto

Realy enjoyed watching these mate BIG thanks for doing them. The 80s scene was a golden period when we were just the right age to be mature about certain things and still young enough to be crazy about other things.
I bought the one i heard played out Mal and its the one i prefere so its the right one for me. Can't understand the hang up just play the one you prefere simples.I only wanted to get some background info as to who broke the record
Hi Chalky
I have the U.S Demo. This is the one that is a studio recording but has a live effect with the count in.This version to my ears is more urgent and raw and is better played out
The German release is different and is same as the LP i think.Still good but as i say i prefere the U.S cut
Any idea on who started spinning it first and where did the Kelly brothers first get plays
Cheers Pete
Chambers Brothers is a complete stormer that started getting plays out around 3 years ago and was new to my ears anyway
Mighty Joe young i know has been reactivated but as you say probably got 80s spins
Kelly Brothers i have on the U,S Sims label and as you say is well known for the rare Sue issue
Would like to know more about them all if poss

No because im pretty sure Phil is refering to tracks that have never been previously released. The Kent ones you refere to are reissues of classics that have have already been originally released.Kent have put out some great previously unissued stuff which would be ok to play out.
Still after the Little Flint one please anyone. Can't be that rare with over 80 copies on posike.
Average popsike price is around £80 so willing to pay that amount in cash
Thanks---Patto
