  1. Hi Guys Been given my Christmas money early so looking to buy my pressie to myself.Always liked this record even though it clears the floor due to its tempo i just love the record but never got round to buying one. After a nice condition copy of Towanda Barnes--You Dont Mean It. Looking for an original not the Reissue Pms please with price and condition for a cash sale Patto
  2. But lots of records started off as cheapies before they gained exposure and demand.Take for a recent example Irene & The Scotts which is currently on Manships auction and probably set to reach a big price.Five years ago i bought it for a tenner so back then it would make it into a cheapies set.How can you get excited about a record just because of its price tag. A Good set is one that gets you dancing and entertains you simple as that. You could hear a string of mega bucks played out oldies and feel bored until an unfamiliar or underplayed record gets you back on the floor. It doesnt have to be a high price record that fills the floor.
  3. Martyn Do you know if the yellows are harder to find than the issues, think i have seen a lot more of the coloured ones over the years.Very raw and moody dancer always thought its true home should have been Stafford rather than Wigan. Patto
  4. Casino oldie here that seems to be a love or hate marmite record.Personally i love it but know lots who cant stand it.Not heard it out for a few years now.Mine is on the yellow label same as the clip but there is also a multi coloured label. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7yb7Q9GJoCY
  5. Nice pairing there mate.Larry is one of my fave 70s i have it on UK London.Dont hear it that much these days but during the 90s it was played out big time, think it was originally a Mecca spin
  6. Here is Mine for today another from the deep nighter hours. This is the flip to the Fuller brothers Torch classic on Soul Clock. This is my prefered side--Moaning Groaning and Crying, wish it got as much action as its overplayed top side https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jHeazeapUg4
  7. Hi Martyn Can't give you any deff Info on the Intros.Like you i made my enquiries and all roads lead to Mark Freeman who is a bit of a casino plays authority. On his youtube site he labels the record as a casino spin for Russ Winstanley.I'm sure i have seen it written down somewhere else but cant find it now.If i find owt ill paste it and put it up
  8. Heres one i have that i always rave about. It was played last night by Bridgey at Sheffields Inner Soul Night and sounded great. An old Wigan Spin from the Intros https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yxa4py6zJ-E
  9. I Gave one of these away a few years ago to Pete( casper) Davis, and he was brave enough to spin it in the windsor room at Stoke nighter. He told me it went down great
