  13. This i think is Dave Wards post from an thread few years back confirming that the track they were in fact dancing to was Tonne of Dynamite--- Frankie Crocker The P-Funk T shirt was worn for a couple of nights only, and I don't think anyone ever called me P-Funk to my knowledge...I was known, like most of us, by first name and where you came from, I was probably 'Dave from Leyland'. 1977 was a time of change, the Casino promoters started to 'ban' certain new records because they were too funky. I though that was wrong, hence the infamous T shirt. I liked the way Pete Ricketts danced, but never spoke to him, a nod, or a wink, at the end of a great dance record, was about it. I didn't rate circus acrobatics or side-to-side stomping, although these are the dancers who feature on 'This England'. I hate the clips on You-tube, they are out of sync. and backed by the wrong music. (It was Ton of Dynamite) ! Who was better, I don't care, I danced for me. If people enjoyed watching, that's a bonus. Best move...that snap back heel turn! Regret...that I couldn't spin....If I could have built that in...I'd have been there, done that, and worn the infamous T Shirt !

  16. Cheatin Kind WHAT an incredible slab of Northern Soul. Those Searling late casino plays still bring up the hairs on the back of the neck.Imagine this one followed by Court Davis pure magic.Real shame they are so rare to not get played out much but thats the same with lots of stuff.Just got to bite the bullet and follow the D J that has the real deal then beg em to play it.
  17. This one for me
  18. Just sent for the brill Lucille looking forward to getting it,great record
  19. HI GUYS After a nice condition original BANG label copy please pm me with price and condition Cheers Patto
  20. Loving the banter between Martyn and Neil cant beat two old soul men taking the respectfull piss out of each other. By now it should be clear im a 60s mafia man but today its a 70s record that took a massive chunk out of me when i first heard it and danced to it in cleggy winter gardens many moons ago.Its a prized jewel in my box in its U.K Demo clothes.Pure Northern Soul 70s style and a monster oldie that crossed to all venues here are The Skull Snaps
  21. TOP TUNE love it but still dont own it
  22. YEP Saw that Martyn real holy grail stuff, was it Mr Parker selling.Never seen an issue with my own eyes, the orig demo is hard enough these days.Realise these big oldies are not everyones cup of tea but try playing em and watch peoples eyes light up as their minds do a timewarp back to the days of no joint pain
  23. Another Bangin Casino tune from my box today
  24. Thats a great record Kev.I remember recommending this to a couple of oldies DJs some 10 years back. One of them gave it a run of plays but told me it bombed and cleared the floor so he gave up on it.Personally i rate it and im sure it will go at some time its too good not to
  25. Checked it out mate good stuff impressed and your really rubbing it in with the full thick head of Hair.I left mine behind at Stafford in 1983
